Yes, I put them in the order I listed but the original copies were in a different folder.

Who should hold the original copy of the marriage certificate, the petitioner who is there or the applicant who is here
Secondly at the beginning of the processing your passport is two years to expiry , when you get your appointment lets say after 1 year 6 months your passport has 6 months to go, what should someone do and wont it affect your application
1. The applicant should keep the original copies as he/she will need to present them on the interview day.
2. If your passport is less than 6 months to expire before your interview, go renew your passport ASAP. Do that quickly before your interview letter arrives.
Thanks for the information. In regards to original copies, did you provide an original birth certificate for your American spouse or a copy? I would think that a copy would suffice because it would be hard to obtain the original being I two different copies.
Hmmm the original copy can be sent to you through DHL. Although I wasn’t asked to submit it at the embassy but I went with the original copy of my wife’s birth certificate. If you know you can’t get the original, go with the photocopy at least. Hopefully they won’t ask for it. No need to panic. God’s with you

A certified copy is also accepted but if you want to send the original to him it’s fine as well.

Concerning the COVID vaccine, i did not take the vaccine but i have the card, at the Qlife family clinic, will the check me to know if i took the vaccine or not ,if i only present my vaccination card?
If the card says you've been vaccinated, I guess all they'll do is scan the QR code on your card to confirm and that's it.
Pls i need ur clarification. My petitioner added her family maiden name on the marriage certificate, will it be a problem as only that name is not on her passport but have used it before

There are so many reasons why cases are put on administrative processing:
citizenship, field of study or scope of research, prior visa overstays or denials, criminal activities, and more.
Some times it’s just happens when you fail to provide them with all the civil documents you were supposed to bring to the embassy. In cases like this, the CO will tell you what documents you need to submit in other for them to grant you your visa.
Can you do your medical in a recommended medical center in another state?
Well to be honest I only know the ones in Abuja and Lagos.

It's a wait-and-get. It shouldn't take longer than 2 hours. Once you get to the criminal Registry office in Alagbon. There are many officers there. Just tell them you want to do your police character certificate.

@@LucyTombere Your finger prints must be boldly stamped on it ooo. The consulate checked mine well, because you will do finger prints again on their own system in the day of your interview.
@@wealthybabs I was given the new one without fingerprints stamped on it and the woman said the old one that has fingerprints stamped on is no longer issued.

Hi, please i want to ask a question concerning my police certificate, i did last year August and i have been scheduled for interview but my husband said it's still valid cus when he uploaded it last year, for some reason i don't know it didn't go through, so some told him is still valid for us to use it. Do think we should do a new one?
I think it's valid for 1 year.
You should have a new one with you just to be safe. It won't be nice to delay your visa for something you could've done.

Get all the original of the documents you submitted ready.
Get your proof of marriage ready (text messages, call logs, wedding pictures, photos of places y’all visited together, money transactions between you and your wife, birthday cards and any other thing you feel it’s good to share)
Go get your COVID vaccination done and keep the card.
Once you get your DQ date, start practicing what the information you have on your DS260
If my petitioner has been divorced two times. Is it mandatory to send all the decree or atleast one can be enough cos I've one only here with me
My advice is that you get both. According to the message I sent you earlier, all previous divorce doc should be sent to NVC .
You can verify on their website or use an immigration attorney to avoid the process being delayed.

You can get the photocopy. If it’s for your interview at the embassy, you don’t really need it but if you just want to have it as additional proof of relationship/marriage then it’s fine. Don’t stress yourself over it.

I did mine at Q-life family clinic, the hospital sent the result directly to the embassy and gave me a date to collect my X-ray disc 💿. So at Q life family clinic Lagos, you won't be given the medical examination result.

You can do it once you get your interview letter but that would be too stressful at that time so it’s best you do it few months before your interview appointment.

If you have been previously married, you must bring original proof of the legal termination of each previous marriage (e.g., death certificate of spouse, final decree of divorce or annulment). All original documents should be the exact same documents already submitted to NVC for your case.
I mean my petitioner pls . He has divorced two times but I have only one divorce decrees. Is it ok??

It says the original of all civil documents you submitted. If there’s a way to get the original, please do.
I went with all the originals of my documents so I won’t advise you not to do the same.

please go with your photo album you don’t need to make photocopies of that. If you have pictures on your phone of you and your spouse, you can print them and add it to your photo album. Yes you can go with your baby if they ask, just tell them it’s because you don’t have a babysitter.

Wedding photos
Printed copies of text messages, social media chats, call logs, and you can add flight tickets, photos of the places where y’all visited together, birthday cards, and any other things you feel is good.
They’ll probably not ask for some of the things I mentioned but it’s better to be over prepared than underprepared.

If you’re the spouse to the petitioner, you’ll need to submit your marriage certificate.
You might still want to check with USCIS website to be very sure. In my case, we used an attorney so it was smooth.

Once y’all are legally married, you can file petition. The number of times she visits is just to prove that you have a sound relationship. So go ahead and file but make sure she visits from time to time.

He wrote his number on a piece of paper 📝 for me but I can't find it.
Look you don't need to know any officer. Just walk in there and tell any officer you see that you came to do your PCC and they'll take you to the office. You do not need to know anyone. It's that simple and there's usually little to no queue so there's nothing to be afraid of. Within 35 mins, you should have your certificate. It's really that simple.
Hi David; My name is Francis, and I just had my immigrant visa interview on the 18th of this month. However, my visa was refused under 221g and I was put in “administrative processing” which says my case is under review and no action is required from me. My documents are all complete and the adjudicator almost approved my visa
The issue started when he requested for our photos. I think he noticed that my wife is older than me hence the reason for the refusal and why he put me in administrative processing.
I answered all questions correctly and accurately.
