Oops! I mixed up my directions. Wrap the tape CLOCKWISE so when you screw on the cap, it won't unravel. Go with the direction of the threads. My mistake

Decanting over a sink is a must for me. Enlarging the hole of the syringe is a great idea. I decanted some CK fragrance last night that turned out really well. On the CK bottle, the chrome sleeve under the spray button simply pulled off. It did take a little force, but pulled off just fine. The atomizer had a plastic compression type fitting. A thin blade pried it up very easily. Replacing the metal sleeve tightens the plastic base back down. For syringes or personal bottles a little perfumer's alcohol rinses them out if they are for your own use.

I have a couple of decants I bought of some of my favorite fragrances and I wanted to fill them as then emptied and I was worried if spaying the fragrance directly into the decant would ruin it. Glad to see it doesn't. Thank you for this video, it answered all my questions.

Another way of widening the hole of the syringe is by putting the tip of it into boiling hot water and then do the same process. That way you don't damage the syringe nor compromise the fragrance by whatever odor is left when plastic gets a little burnt. Props for this video though, you changed my decant-filling game man!

You forgot to mention: Always DI wash your vials/atomizers. Small debris can be seen on the sample when fragrance oil is added. I did the same mistake. I added fragrance oil onto my atomizer and noticed a little hair floating into the sample.

Have you seen the atomizer bottles that load from the bottom and connect directly to the bottles? Looks easy however is it bad to transfer a fragrance by spraying?

i was wondering a few days ago how to decant a scent, thanks! :-D What I wonder though is : Does the scent not evaporate when using the first method? I thought perfumes would evaporate once they get in touch with air
i bought some tiny funnels on ebay. the stem fits in the decant then just spray into the cone. I think they were 10/$1 from China,
plastic. took 3 1/2 -4 weeks shipping(free). wash with soapy water, Rinse,dry and reuse.

Question: Is the needle you are using a luer lock syringe? I know you linked some in the description, but the tips look slightly different. Yours seems to have a black piece at the tip, if I'm not mistaken. Did it come with a needle that you removed??
I have some like the one's in the description and they don't grab on to the top as well as yours seems to in the video, so I just wanted to check if it's the exact same kind as you're using.

I was able to decant some virgin island water from my 100ml bottle to my 50ml travel atomizer with no spilling. Thanks for the tip man! Very easy to do! I get worried about spraying it into a container. I feel that spraying it into another container would probably degrade some of the volatile top notes. One tip to add. Grab the coil master kit for RDA coil building. The kit has a tool that has all the different diameter metal rods so you can step up the size of the syringe opening. For creed atomizer stems, I found a 3mm outside diameter sized rod to fit the stem on the bottle perfectly. Had some resistance pushing the syringe down onto the stem but I got a very good seal to where I didn’t mix any oxygen when drawing the liquid 😀

I’m not too worried about it with cheaper frags, but for Creeds you don’t want to do any damage to the juice haha

I am having trouble sucking up the juice with a syringe. The seal is very tight, but pulling up the syringe mechanism is difficult and nothing happens. What is your secret?

I find these kind of tips/tutorial/hacks videos sooo useful and I love your channel :) I have a question I know you could help me with. I got a really cool 10ml travel mini bottle of my Dior Sauvage with the 200ml bottle. The salesman taught me how to fill it up, but it doesn't have a spray nozzle. Do you know how to apply cologne without the spray nozzle? Thank you so much beforehand and greetings from Mexico!

You can also get these cheap bottles where you just pump in into the bottom. They have different colors so I try to match the color of my juice bottle more or less to the decant travel bottle

In a different video, I saw one guy inserting a syringe needle into the sprayer tunnel and thought there has to be a better way to do this (syringe needles! seriously? lol), and you showed me the better way (probably the best way).

Glad it could help. Yeah I'd be afraid of using a needle in case it could somehow puncture the sprayer tube. This method has saved me tons of time & sore fingers lol
