Right me too, I had the same idea only I tried to run to the right after the tunnel that goes outside to try and run up the ramp, instead of going left and running around the outside of the castle. When he did that I was like omg. Really.
These secret super charge sections feel like they're from a different game. Most of the game is like 'jump and press X to glide!'... and that's pretty much it outside the easy super charge parts. Hours later: 'now super charge and make these impossible to notice jumps'. It's such a jarring shift compared to rest of the game.
The game is littered with these outside the box type thinking bits, you just don't notice them. What about Ice Cavern where you have to do a suicide jump from the start to get to that little platform with the extra life, or Cliff Town where you have to glide behind the starting room to find some missing gems?

I swear to God as if Karma for liking this post, I immediately tried to do this and after losing like 20 lives I rewatched and realized was turning right instead of left at 0:22! 😅🤦♀️ I was getting so frustrated like why tf can't I make this corner!? I was trying to round the loop immediately out the door and I just couldn't make it all the way around 😅🤫
Oh yeah them tree tops. Figuring out how to get onto the one small wooden ramp to get onto the unreachable island was pretty weird. I ended up doing it by mistake lol
Yeah people in the comments saying this jump was really hard but I landed it first try after the treetops level. I never would've found this area without a video though.

A couple of tips: * Only use the joystick for left/right steering. It makes controlling the supercharge much easier. * If you have trouble getting past the haunted armor, try going to options and setting your camera to “Active”. This will keep the camera behind Spyro and make navigating around the armor and up the stairs MUCH easier. * On the last part of the stairs, make sure you stick to the inside edge and use charge once you get to the top. It IS possible. It just requires a LOT of patience and some spare lives.
This entire section from start to finish is just complete fuckery. I couldn't be bothered to figure out how to get back to the rest of the level afterwards either.
Guys, to anyone who's still playing this. I've compiled some of the suggestions below and this is what works for me as a SWITCH user: -Set the camera as active -Use both Joycons and control buttons (I did it in sequence) -The wooden door in front and on the left could be destroyed by normal fire and there's a fairy beside the left one with the ''superfire'' kiss. U could use it to defeat the ghost armor and the chest outside on the right door in case u failed at the super charge. - Good luck! To the devs- F U! My inner child is crying before I saw the posts in this video. Tree top was also annoying af just to reach the last spot with the thief and treasures 😑
For anyone still stuck on getting past the Knights on the stairs, not sure if it was a fluke but I jumped straight onto the platform where the first knight was laying and got past them all without any waking up.
Thank you Jaiko! Follow the same pattern up the stairs. Do not speed up on the stairs - you will only fail and become more frustrated. It's so hard not to sprint once you pass the third to last dick. You will fail. Once you know you're in, then you can speed. You cannot get in if you start speeding too early.
Thanks. Some of these seem impossible to find on your own and I don't have time to spend hours on one level inspecting every detail when I have 2 other games in the trilogy I want to finish.
@@a-mizzlebeatz6395 I think at the time this game was released it was a lot more acceptable because it wasn’t as easy to just CZcams or google a solution in five seconds and developers needed to increase the longevity of their games somehow, it’s a product of its time for sure. I still enjoyed the games a lot though.

Honestly one of the hardest levels for me, ive managed to do almost every part except any supercharge journeys and the staircase in this level. I dont see why the green fairies were only in one level. IMO they should have been in any level with a supercharge and once youve killed the wizard the knights drop. Its understandable that they want to make it challenging but its still a kids game so it should at least have an easy mode.
Awe man. I knew with had to do something with the boost. And I figured that kinda looked like a ramp but I didn't know where to go. I thought it was ontop of the building. This one is considerably easier than the tree tips level though. 3rd try and I almaot got it. Now I gotta to the flipping time trials ( which I'll never do ) sonyour just suposoe to dying till you get to the top of the stairs on time thats cool ... yeah my patients loves that
What's messed up is this is a kids game and aint no way anybody could figure that out just messing around and having fun. The only way anybody is beating this game is if they look up a video here and there. Probably the only way anybody learned to beat the game in the first place was to probably have help from a creator and then trickled out the info to the rest of the world. This game is HARD!

I'd managed to work out the jump - didnt go the same route but did a loop and ran back up the ramp. Couldn't work out the green armour guys.
