ABOUT THE VOICE
The four-time Emmy Award-winning musical competition series "The Voice" returns as Queen of Country Reba McEntire claims her red chair alongside last season's champ, Niall Horan, and returning superstar coaches John Legend and Gwen Stefani as they vie to discover and coach the next singing phenomenon.
The show's innovative format features five stages of competition: Blind Auditions, Battle Rounds, Knockouts, Playoffs and Live Performance Shows.
This season, the block returns to the Blind Auditions, and during Battles, each coach will have two steals to use. The Three-Way Knockouts are also back. This time, however, artists will select their own songs to perform.
Once the Live Performance Shows begin, the top artists will compete against each other weekly during a live broadcast. This time, the television audience will vote to save their favorite artists. In the end, one artist will be named "The Voice" and receive the grand prize of a recording contract.

Reba knows he's good and John or one of the other judges would steal him. Reba knows she wouldn't be able to win with him no matter because her country fans wouldn't vote for him.
My boy Mac has always had the most rich and strong falsetto and tone. So proud of you, my guy! But all 3 of these artists did an incredible job.

Mac is amazing as he always is and picked a perfect song choice for his tone. I loved how buttery and smooth his tone is. So warm and inviting. He honestly reminds me of D. Smooth from last season. Mac is the best r&b/soul male singer this season so far. His falsettos are on point and he knows how to really belt. His runs were so tasteful like buttered popcorn that we can all eat. I can see people warming him up in a hot cocoa with whipped cream and licking all that cream. He made that song his own and used his own creativity and flair. I really love his originality. I love Taylor's song choice for her and she ate that up! She was perfect and flawless all the way through and she is a powerhouse! She made that song her own. So tasteful and smooth. And wow Brandon was also amazing! His song choice was so perfect for him and he crushed that! It's hard to pick but I would give the win to Mac with a slight edge as he has the better shot of making the finale. All three of them were fantastic and gave their best performance of the season. This is gonna get them many views and likes.

Why did John pair all three of these talents together? It’s a shame that somebody has to go, but Mac just has this special quality in his voice. As good as Taylor and Brandon were, I think Mr. Royals could win it all
To answer your question, the only reason I could think of is that historically, white people end up winning because once it comes down to the final 12, it's not about who has the best voice but rather who America votes for and the viewership for this show is majority country white. So grouping these 3 talents together forces Legend's hand to reduce the total number of POCs to give him a better chance for one of his singers to win. Hot take I know and hate to bring race into it but that's literally the only reason why he'd group all 3 of them together.. all 3 could easily make it to the finals. That being said, hate to see it but I think Brandon will go

Mac is definitely at the top for me. He is a superstar. Brandon was the most original but he also exhibited to least amount of range vocally(emotionally he connects the most). Taylor's voice is amazing even if it is not the most original song or sound it is just so amazing vocally that it doesn't matter so much.
Mac sounds like he should already have his own album! Such a professional and smooth performance! Taylor has such a range and she really surprised me as well. Brandon also was smooth too with his runs.
