How To Fix Broken Concrete

- You can definitely repair broken concrete by bonding the pieces back together. There are a few options available to you and what adhesive material you use depends on what type of bond you need for the concrete repair.
Concrete urethane is a reliable product for fixing some broken concrete and bonding it back together. It is a much better and stronger concrete adhesive agent than silicone (which is not the correct product to use for fixing broken concrete). Concrete urethane provides a solid bond for broken concrete and has flexibility, similar to silicone, that may be needed in certain repairs, especially if outdoors and exposed to both hot and cold weather. The fluctuating temperatures cause expansion and contraction which the urethane can handle.
Construction grade adhesive or construction epoxy is another product that will give you a very strong bond for fixing broken concrete. It does not have the flexibility that concrete urethane has and this limits some of the repairs construction adhesive can be used for. It has an incredibly strong bond, especially if the repaired concrete is in a controlled environment.

Very helpful; thank you.
I only needed a very little bit of information--and got it quite quickly--but I'm still watching so many of your videos because you're communicating the ideas so well as so thoughtfully. It sounds silly, but I'm sort of hoping I have a need for more concrete knowledge so I can benefit from your excellent style more thoroughly.
Thank you for your guidance.
thank you ....I didn't know about a urethane foam for concrete....I have a broken garden toad that just came apart...freeze...thaw effect.
Thank you for the information. Very interesting. I have a chunk of concrete at my front porch that has broken off and am looking for the best way to "glue" it back together. I thought the polyurethane construction adhesive would work for that based on your video, but when I contacted DAP about the product you showed they said that it wouldn't work for that situation. I'm not sure what's best to use for my situation.
Great information .
I have a large and heavy concrete vintage planter which is missing a corner of the base. It’s still sturdy but I’d like to repair to its original look. What type of concrete should I us? Should I drill holes I the base and insert small rods before pouring concrete? Thanks !!!
Rob
Hi, I follow your channel, please could you tell me how to fill small holes in concrete floor before polishing? I know they have products on the market but is it somthing I can make myself? Thank you
I feel it sorta removes the point of making something outta concrete in the first place, longevity.
My amateur masonry mind thinks of possibly loose granite dowels with portland 🤔

Cheers thanks for that. What about 2 part concrete expoxy products? I have a broken conrete tiki that lives outdoors, it had no metal reinforcing so broke when fell over. Thinking drill holes, bolt rods and epoxy. I need something super strong, it lives outdoors and some weight there too.
a construction adhesive product would likely work well here. The bond between pieces will be very strong
