    Don't panic. Time and tide wait for none is mostly accepted. But 'waits' is correct according to Wren and Martin. But for me it is definitely 'wait'.

      we should remember that `Time and Tide` form a single pair so we should substitute the singular `This` and not the plural `They` and choose the singular `waits` as the answer. So the correct statement would be Time and Tide waits for none.

    Sir "Time and tide waits for none" is correct because it is an idiom and both of the subjects give the same sense i.e same idea.

      Is sentence mein agar verb has kare to meaning ye banega ki Only Sachin has scored double century in the world, which is not true.

      No my friend, the correct answer will be time and tide wait for none. although this is a proverb but they are not as closely associated as rice and curry or bread and butter. And time and tide are regarded as two separate things in this case. that is why "wait" will be the correct answer.

    According to OXFORD DICTIONARY " Time and tide wait for none / no man."But according to WREN AND MARTIN, " Time and tide waits for none." Both the sentences are correct.
    Next NOTE SENTENCES:
    She is one of the few women who have /has climbed Everest. This is one of those books that are/ is read by everybody. Both the sentences have been taken from OXFORD GRAMMAR.

    Sorry sir you must first subject verb agreement, i reckon. Time and tide refer to same idea. So , despite plural in number
    but can be taken as a singular subject as both nouns refer to same idea...... Therefore, the correct sentence most probably be " Time and tide waits for none."
