- The Hearthstone Old Gods (Yogg, N'zoth, C'thun, and Y'sharjj) were first introduced back in 2016, but is it still possible to win with them now?
The Old Gods are these massive creatures, who are chained beneath the earth... These are the creatures who enslaved Ragnaros, and the other Elemental Lords. They created the Nerubians and the Faceless Manipulators... These are the things that turned Legacy Deathwing into Deathwing... In the world of Super Villains, these are the Super Villains of Super Villains.
"Their only weakness... is that they are chained beneath the earth, and they can only really work via influence, by whispering to the creatures around them and slowly corrupting them over time.

Can I win with every Un'Goro Quest in Hearthstone?
Rarran, RegisKillbin, Zeddy, trump, thijs, kripp and other hearthstone youtubers all play different hs gamemodes. Duels, Battlegrounds, Standard, Arena and Wild are in the game that can new cards from new expansions to climb and win HS games.
Hearthstone is a card game based on WOW, it is also a digital card game.
Today we dive into Legends of Runeterra, a game from Riot available on pc and mobile.

There are two, maybe three kinds of players in wild
1- someone who actually wants to play their old decks, nothing else. That means Jade Druid is back, and Bomb Warrior, sorry.
2- “Wanna see why these two cards never released in the same season? :)”
3- Meme decks. We’re talking full spell Mage + Yogg Saron in wild, Murloc-Only shaman, Suicide Warlock, etc

I was screaming at Rarran the entire time he tried to win with N'Zoth because he didn't even put Expired Merchant in his deck, which would've given him multiple N'Zoths

@@juby6359 Yeah very true. I mostly brought it up since we had seen the other 3 old gods in WoW (and been speculating about N'zoth in game) long before the HS reveal.
@@michaeld8705 we didn't see Y'Shaarj in WoW too, he still is the only old God not seen there, we only got his two artworks on HS and one in the chronicles

4:10 My guy while you are right, you’re missing on the full value of Spreading Plague. Poisonous Seeds takes that card to a whole other level. Look at the scenario you’re facing and tell me it wouldn’t have changed the game state to your favor.
Yeah, poison seeds is (hilariously, because it was terrible originally) one of the best “wraths” in wild
Yogg-saron is still an amazing card that does wonders! I use him in a Reno Mage, and he is quite literally the win condition.
Y'shaarj is a good card, but only if you cheat him out. I managed to find a spot for the guy in Barnabus Druid, but he's a far cry from the best card in that deck.
N'zoth is da MVP. In the right deck he can refill the board and demand some heavy board clears. I use him in a Big Demon Warlock, and together with Shadowreaver Gul'dan they're the final finishers the deck needs to bring some of the stronger decks to it's knees.
C'thun is... C'thun. I haven't made a deck in which C'thun could fit yet, since it kind of demands a lot of support cards, but I have thought about making some kind of paladin handbuff deck in which C'thun could find a home.
All in all, these decks may not be SUPER competitive, but they're fun! The old gods introduced a lot of fun in the game, and the fact that I to this day can make various decks which include these whacky old gods is amazing.

I accidentally made a deck that uses N'zoth as a win condition.
Theoretically, what I was trying to do was make a Mogu Cultist deck using Shekzara, but I included a few healing deathrattles to round things out, namely Khartut Defender. I included N'zoth because why not, and uh...
It turns out N'zoth, shadowstep, into N'zoth, Togwaggle scheme, into N'zoth, into N'zoth, into N'zoth, into...
It's hard to fight a board that's just six khartuts and a 5/7 every single turn, until you die.

Meanwhile, i played against a control mage earlier that managed to cast 11 frost novas and still ended up losing.

Kinda surprised you didn’t go rogue for any of these. Easy multiple copies and tons of stall. Nzoth with healing taunt deathrattles with the draw murlocs is still my favorite wild deck.

C'Thun is one of my favorite cards, right now I've been having fun with a 40 card c'thun warlock that's performing pretty well at the ranks you were playing it.
The core of the deck is using expired merchant, dinomancer, and sethrovath to get up to 8 c'thuns in a single game. (Only 5 trigger their battlecry though)

Btw rarran, a few years ago people used expired merchant to discard their n'zoth and get 2 more copies back. That might have made the n'zoth challenge a little more bearable

Best option for Y'Shaarj (as a win condition) in Wild is Spell Hunter. Barnes pulls him out and the game is over (hopefully). :)

This isn’t a very impossible challenge. Now if you made a 40 card deck with 10 cards allocated to helping each old god (prince counts as Yogg or something) and then you have to win after playing all 4 of them

N'zoth rogue with togwwagle's scheme and a bunch of minions like karthut defender and rotten applebaum is actually a surprisingly consistent deck
Totally agree, this rogue 1) is pita because of taunts and overall survivability and 2) actually uses N'zoth as one and only win condition - perfect choice for this challenge :)

I'm wondering why you didn't take rouge for n'zoth - it has shadowstep and also possibilities to shuffle nzoth back to deck - I think it was one of the most consistent and usable decks

It's unfortunate you recorded this after the Lightning Bloom nerf because Y'sharjj was seeing meta play in Big Shaman.
Back in 2016..2017, each time Yogg was played (by me or by my opponent) I just fell down and started praying... and it really worked!
You should have played spell hunter for y’shaarj.
I have a terrible reno yogg idol deck in wild, it was once ok...but yeah...spreading plague was definitely the reason I don't lose games most of the time.
Imo Hearthstone peaked in WotOG. The Yogg memes were pristine and I was the Deathrattle Rouge expert of my friend group.

I do c'thun rouge. N'zoth is good in reno lock and cube lock and you could even play it in druid for hadronox value

it's funny how i think n'zoth is actually the best old god, but not as a wincon but to control a late game with warlock, just play the good taunt demons like voidlord and is a second guldan, that is like a tier 2/3 deck

C'Thun actually works quite well in the Quest DH which is able to not only quickly dtaw him but also double. There was also a bug when copying C'Thun inside your hand doubled its stats, not sure if it is still around.

So for N'zoth, the best option is Ungoro quest priest for more survivability, not to mention the Obsidian Statue/Faceless Infiltrator can save your ass when it's brought back.
A fun deck you could've done with N'zoth is the leper burn deck, but then again you would prolly win before N'zoth and that would be an issue
C'thun druid is pretty consistent even in wild, I think going shaman may have been a mistake, great work though, be patient. :D Mage also has a card that duplicates a card and puts it in your deck, so i run Barista and zola and the 2 drop copy a card and the 3 drop copy a card, so I get literally infinite reno's

Eventually you should have tried N'Zoth in rogue - shadowstepping and togwaggels schemeing him to create board after board of annoying deathrattle (and often taunt) minions was quite oppressive if I recall it right, it would have also added a lot of chances for N'Zoth to be the winning play per game. But it was fun to watch anyways ;)

A Y'Sharj Win? Just go Barns Spell Hunter with the Spell generating Weapon.
You can also win with a warlock deck full of all old god (like 1/20 game but still X) )
you should do this with new old gods. new cthun in druid is actually a tier 1 wild deck now.

I've recently returned to the game and I hate this one new design change so so so much:
- The fact that you have all of these repeating characters in different roles.
Eg. You can play Guff, be Guff, then become Guff, the hero then play another Guff.
So many characters already in WOW lore and many more to be created and they do something like this.
