I’d have to agree, the just common click and you have it in your inv is old school. The whole inventory system in this seems really dope you see everything around you doesn’t matter where your at not just some white screen in the back.

The details for this game is crazy considering that the first game was a indie game. The whole ai of the cannibals is overlooked. Some will try to help their tribe and be more peaceful than others
The AI of cannibals was already fantastic in the first game
What we're seeing right now is tip of the iceberg. They've yet again set a standard in survival game genre with the AI. The AI this time around is way more advanced for a game like this.
The cannibals will attack your base, the cannibals have different types, different types of cannibals will fight each other, some cannibals will just try to make you chase them, some cannibals will stock you until their group arrives.
Then there's the ballsy ones, lone one coming in with a weapon, or the leader figure will comes to fight you.
Now add the fantastic sound design and how cannibals react to everything.
The Cannibal AI is the meat of this game. And we haven't even gotten to the crazy whack ass boss monsters yet.
When you kill male canibal there is a chance for his companion female to come to his corpse and mourn him. After that she either runs away or gets pissed off and attacks you like crazy. Attention to detail...

They wanted to delay the game again for another 8 months but they knew the community couldn’t wait any longer after the 2nd delay. I can’t wait to see what they add and change!
it would be a big pr hit to them if they did delay it. they had no choice but to release it with almost no content and a bunch of bugs.

I think their method was the best. They didn't make a mockery out of the early access thing.
They wanted to make a full game, couldn't but released it in a playable state as early access.

This is easily one of the most infuriating playthroughs I've ever seen

i enjoyed watching him the entire time but this game was basically a half finished DLC to the first one with half the frames.
In my opinion this game is going to be insane in the future. They've made it so alot of the stuff is out of the game but likely to come back in the future with updates as they look into community feedback to build on this vastly improved version of the game. All you have to do is compare this game and the previous game when they were at the same stage, the difference is night and day, I honestly can't wait to see what this will look like in a year or so with bug fixes and loads of new content added.
A lot of people don’t know about the npc Virginia too. The four legged and four armed woman running around in the white swim suit. Eventually you can give her weapons and set a gps locator on her. If you do certain actions or things for her she’ll bring you gifts and show you new caves and things like that. I learned the hard way when I accidentally killed her on my first play through because I thought she was a cannibal too lol
@@BrigadeShip haha what a nightmare, she's definitely a cool addition. They definitely need to look at AI pathing though as they usually get left behind in the forest or when you build a structure they walk into it as it's like they don't recognise its there
Having dry socks while hiking is not important, your feet will warm it up after a few minutes and you’ll stop feeling the water. Wet socks only really suck while ur feet are dry.

The inventory and the crafting is so satisfying.
A lot of the frame skipping happens at the beginning of the game because of shader caching, it goes away after 30-60 minutes depending on your hardware

sons of the forest is kinda the same in that regard. You only need to kill like 1 cannibal per 2 days to sustain your hunger
Playing survival games, I always proceed very methodically and with caution... so this was very frustrating to watch...

this game is top notch it needs a modding community
Me and a friend beat the game in 5 hours. The ending is incomplete and very anticlimactic, and the play through is basically just running simulator. Haven’t messed with the base building aspect yet, but playing through the story trying to beat the game is extremely boring and dry.
