Seascape Photography on the Sea of Japan | Fukui - Echizen Kaigan | Sony a7r4a

If I were planning a proper photography outting to the ocean I would usually include a number of lenses in my large backpack, definitely my tripod because I love long exposures, and probably a range of filters as well. That wasn’t the case today because I was more on a trip with my family along the coast of Fukui, and the Sea of Japan. But I think I still managed to come away with a few photos that showed the power and excitement of the ocean. ..

Hello 😊 - I too am drawn to the ocean. I lived on the central California coast for many years and miss it greatly. So I appreciate the beautiful shots and clips in this video. It would be hard to have to choose between living near a forest or the sea but for me, the sea would likely win. It's powerful and thrilling and infinitely creative. Thank you for your excellent Shizen forays that uplift my day when they appear.

That has always been a tough question to answer, forests/mountains or sea. Ideally a combination of all 3 for me would probably be the perfect place. I've really only found that in Japan, but the country is also a lot smaller and easier to get to a variety of different terrains. I've never lived on the west coast though, it seems beautiful.

Because a lack of resources, I could never buy a good camera. A friend told me, "the best camera is the one you have in hand". He was right. I managed to do photos with a Pentax K-1000 with a 50 millimeter lends for years. So, you had a good camera, at a wonderful place with your great family. Good for you! GOD bless.
