- Pastor Brian Sauvé opens the New Christendom Press Conference in 2024 with a talk on building Christian boroughs in the spirit of King Alfred the Great. Born in 849 A.D., Alfred was an unlikely king that rose to power, defeated the vikings, and then helped establish what would become a united England. He did this by establishing Christian boroughs that would be the structure of a new nation.

Praise God. We were going to come but my wife gave birth a couple weeks before the conference and we didn’t think it wise to travel.
We live in St. George UT and Im currently struggling with whether or not we should move to Ogden and join you guys or try and start something here. Im leaning towards the former because Im a first gen Christian and dont know where to start.
@@CameronMast we'd be happy to help connect if you're able to visit sometime! I wouldn't recommend trying to start something without an ordained pastor commissioned to plant a church.
@@Brian_SauveWe are definitely going to visit sometime. And yes I agree, I wouldn’t want to try anything on my own. there is one reformed church here but they aren’t postmill. Im currently at a non-denom dispensational church and Im thinking of maybe going to the reformed one for now.
It’s also hard bc my dad, brother and sister have recently become Christians and Im trying to disciple them as best I can, and my mom and other sister have yet to profess faith.

This is probably the most uninspiring and unChristian talk I have heard from somebody supposedly delivering God’s word.
I find it interesting that these people are so focused on building a Christian nation on earth instead of a Christian Nation in heaven

Thanks Brian, that last part about God our Father has been a challenge I need to lean into. I have often felt like and said, “ if I was God I would have dropped a large Rock on me along time ago” false humility, uncontested sin, maybe. God’s love did transform me over forty years ago, that love and the power of the Gospel continue to transform me. Love what God is doing in places like Ogden and Moscow. And I love listening to you, Eric and Dan. Thanks again, and God’s continued blessings on His work in you and those around you.
