- Revision video for AQA AS Biology Unit 1 - Biology & Disease.
In this video, we look at the Heart; it's structure and the importance of valves. We also look at the cardiac cycle; along with the role of the nodes.
This is a difficult topic; and it's quite an intense video, so it might be worth viewing this in stages.
Imagine what your grades would be like without videos like this... :'(
Glad I'm helping to boost your grades :) Stay positive!
Exactly. I am watching this right before the exam today and this is of great help. Quick and simple revision!
^ Quick and simple revision... well you see, I never really attended classes, and I'm only just learning about these things 2 days before the exam, and this is my building block before I actually start reading the book. :V Though I must point out that there have been some different variations and condition than were explained by him differently(ex: transport in phloem) sometimes there is actually a low conc of sucrose within the sieve element which just allows for facilitated diffusion instead of pumping and active transport, although the companion cell does need to use active transport to move H+ ions to the sieve element to move from palisade cells toward to companion cells with ATP.
It kinda confused me at first because what I read from the book and what he explained were different, but I understand now, also, I think I should leave this... and homeostasis for last >_> THANKS FOR THE VIDEOS DUDE
Brooo🌚🌚🌚!
Thank you soo much..this video is wayyy better than reading my text book like 10 times
I misheard and thought he was going to show the flow of the blood with 'this pink duck.' Imagined a little toy duck moving around the diagram, made me smile.
I'm really triggered by the way you say diastole and systole but I can get over that because of how amazing this video is - saving my A levels one step at a time
lol that's how you say it....
@@huzafah nah its not
@@user-tz5pz8ev7u great keep saying it then
@@huzafah yeah I will thanks
@leondesu_ oooh sorry
SO much easier to understand than the overly wordy textbook ! thanks
Glad you think so!
you explain this so well!
I learnt more in this video than I have in 3 years of learning about the heart at A-level...
Can't thank you enough for these great videos :)
Absolutely a life saver, I watch your video every time I need to revise, got a big test coming up on Thursday this week! Thank you so much they are so easy to understand.
Thank you much for explaining this in a magnificent way. I'm preparing for my boards for Physical Therapy and cardio has always been a weaker area for me. This literally set off the lightbulb I needed. Thank you for taking the time to do this and for having made it so simple.
This is absolutely useful! I am a visual learner so I am glad you illustrated the flow of blood into the heart. I am recommending this to my classmates. Thanks so much!
Great video. Have watched it like 5 times now. Memorised and ready!
Amazing! Thank you so much! I completely understand it, rather than just remembering the cycle and everything that goes on, I now understand WHY that's the case!
Best thing For last Minute revision
Thank you so much for this video, sir! It was very helpful! I'm going to totally ace my mock tomorrow, and the tips you gave in order to remember are great too (A.A and E.E) :D
Its so lucky the new AS course has enough overlap, I was worried I wouldn't find any relevant videos but the pressure graph and node info was exactly what I needed, cheers bro
+Gabe Fernandes No worries; new AS isn't a great deal different to the old one. My channel should help :)
This is a very good video. You have explained cardiac cycle very clearly with good diagrams. Thank you so much.

Great video!!! Great review for exams!!!
Really appreciated it!!!
Perfect revision for exam, thank you.
during atrial systole, don't the AV valves open, and the SL valves shut? not sure, so I was asking ( at 11:10 )
Love button please... and thank you for taking the tone to explain and upload this video. 😄😊
Nola Paul Haha, no worries :) glad I could help!
This was so helpful! (I'm doing Edexcel but obviously there are crossover points) This video has really helped me understand the subject better, where the textbook has failed! Thank you :-)

Rishay Raj Thanks for the support! Happy to help!
Thank you so much and what i say I don't know ,this video is very useful and helpful video tomorrow is my exam and i see the video and not read away the text book
I have some questions...
AV valves closes when pressure of V>At(is it due to preventing back flow back to atria, forcing blood out of ventricles???)
AV valves reopens when pressure of VAO ( is this when blood has to pump out of the heart??)
S valves close when pressure of V
I would like u to make a video on immunity As biology .thank u
Thank you , just started reading on this topic and this helped alot!
Thanks! Glad I could help!
Trust me the heart is an easy topic but I hate it. You've made it so much more comfortable for me! Thanks so much.
Glad I could help!
Wow I finally understand...thank you!!😍
Wait...in the video it says that atrial systole and ventricular diastole are the same...so in atrial systole the atria contract...but in my textbook it says that during ventricular diastole the atria and ventricles relax..?
BEST TEACHER EVER!!🙆🏽♀️😫♥️
