it's not a huge deal, there are ways to take care of both your feet and shoes! I figure skated competitively for 12 years and never wore socks in my skates, same thing :)

a tip to get your blender to last longer is to hand wash it because putting it in the dishwasher dulls the blade. an easy way to hand wash it is fill it up with water and a pump of soap, turn the blender on, blend it till it is all washed and then rinse it out :)
