Dear You is a terrific album! I fell in love with it and fiscovered Jawbreaker through it. When I read it was criticised back then I was kinda shocked!! Though it lacks the rawness of their previous albums, it’s still full of great songs and the production is Incredible.

the crowd loves fireman! so it's a myth that all fans hated dear you when released?
it is and it was and its still my favorite jawbreaker record
I hated this album when it was released, I wanted more 24 hr Revenge Therapy and possibly more punk, instead we got something that sounded like Nirvana with Dear You. Funny now because I love Nirvana and this album! I had a conspiracy theory that them signing to Geffen meant Geffen engineered them to sound more like their label mates Nirvana. That first Foo Fighters albums sound like Jawbreaker at times.
