When you grow up watching someone on tv for almost 30 years, the person feels like a member of your family. Alex’s image, the sound of his voice and his regal presence on the show was always in the background in my house. I’m so glad he’s no longer in pain or suffering from illness and I understand that death is a natural part of life. Jeopardy won’t be the same without him. Alex will be missed by millions.

I started watching him faithfully on Friday nights with my grandparents as a kid. I watch with my own son now who is 13. We were so sad to hear the news of his passing. What a great man and what a legacy 💙

I think of a phrase from a movie where someone said "I can step into your position but I can never replace you". They may select a new host for Jeopardy but they'll never replace Alex Trebek.
He was already had quit hosting this season because, a couple months ago, he was on tv and had said, the cancer came back and, he said though he was trying to still remain in good spirits about it.
They should just end the show. Alex WAS Jeopardy.

I know, right! You can't help, but thinking about Alex when you hear the music or watch Jeopardy. When a game show debuts and a person has been hosting the show for as long as he did from Day one, they become the show. He was Jeopardy, and that he has died, the show is pretty much dead, too. If it continues to go, it will definitely not be the same.
