Exactly! My fiance actually quit working at a grocery store because they would not do anything about shoplifting. He said he saw a man and what appeared to be his young teenage son, load up a cart of beer and just walk out. Management did nothing.
I previously worked in a retail store and one of the policies was we couldn't ask or accuse a customer of stealing and we couldn't stop them from taking it out of the store (I'm guessing for safety of the employees??) . We did have instances where people did shoplift and just had to report it to our supervisor and head boss who'd have to write it in a report to their boss ( I guess to account for missing items). We eventually got cameras but I don't recall them really helping to persecute the people who stole. It's very sad to have to helplessly watch though. I definitely feel judged when I'm out couponing (not ever having issues with cashiers but just paranoid about it especially cause I spend a ton of time when I do go into the store to be sure I'm getting everything I planned & it's working with rebates, digitals, etc). I'm sorry to hear this happened to you and I think you're doing the right thing by going to the manager first and letting them know about the cashier in specific, because yes any negative store reviews do effect everyone in the store so it's nice you're thinking from that perspective and not being a jerk about it .
I don't know why a cashier would care what you are paying?? If the register rings it up at that price.... who cares! If Walgreens cared enough, they would change it in their system. Does she get mad when people use their Walgreens cash too? Just weird!

Something must have happened world wide with Wags cashiers. Sunday I purchased two fancy Crest toothpaste for $9 each. I bought two different flavors and had two different fancy Crest digital coupons for different values. After she rung up everything, she told me the digital coupons that applied. I told her one of the Crest digital coupons was missing and showed it to her on my phone. Then I received a lecture from her about how if it is an IVC coupon along with a manufacturer coupon one will kick the other one out because they will no longer both come off. Then she called the manager up and viewed my coupons again on my phone and saw the fine print that says only one will come off at check out. She proudly told her manager about the discovery and he just said "Oh". I said but I bought two of them. He said nothing and went on his way. So I didn't even try to go back and do the Doritos deal. Why are they acting like these deals are coming out of their paycheck?

Because I had 2 different transactions ,and proceeded to disrespect me saying unacceptable things and even told me to get my own bag if I wanted one. I Asked to speak to her manager ,who then told me there's nothing she can really do about it ..😵😵😡😤

I just did the deal and paid $5.97 for six. The $3 off digital coupon did not come off. I also had a hard time with the cashier. The worst part is that these cashiers argue with the customers but let shoplifters get away with everything.
🗣️ PLEASE CALL CUSTOMER SERVICE ASAP! SHE WAS FLAT OUT WRONG AND VERY UNPROFESSIONAL!! I feel like they should educate their employees on coupons and the rules to those coupons before opening the store. If there should be a limit to how many items, then signs should be posted throughout the store as well stating that! But PLEASE CALL AND REPORT HER! No one should be treated like that and embarrassed for couponing! Times are hard and money is tight for most, so all we know is to coupon 🗣️ WHICH HELPS A LOT! Anyway, I’m upset for you! My store manager saw me with my cart and made a big deal. Said I couldn’t “buy the whole store stock,” but I don’t understand because I’m buying it.. they don’t even say anything to people stealing stuff, but stop people from buying?. She only let me buy 4.

Had a young dumb boy ( mgr) follow me to chips you can't buy but one I said fine put several in cart shopped went to cash out ran to counter refused to sell any to me grabbed my flyer said that belongs to us! Oh it got ugly I grabbed my coupon ask his name and told him I would report him to customer service! It's Bogota 50% so to tell me only 1 bag then said I'm not selling you any your abusing our system! Smart mouth as I was leaving said you have a very nice day! Error Flip side went to 2 others on same road no problems at all!

Def the customer is not always right. However this employee seems to be rude off the bat. It doesn’t affect her in any way shape or form. Respect is earned.

Went Mon night and store #1 only had 2 bags... so i got them for $1.00 each.
Went Tues @11am to store #2... got 6 bags for $1.00 each.
Went to lunch with hubby.
Then went back to store #1 because last night the cashier told me the chip truck would run around noon. So i get 6 bags, go to register with my flier coupon... THE MGR STEPPED IN and let me know if i plan on using that coupon, each bag would be rang up separately. I told her the store sale and the store coupon work together just like they always have. She said i can either buy them using the store promo, or ring separately and use the store coupon, but i cant use both on the same transaction. I explained how confusing her statements were because i used both at her store the night b4, and i used both an hour ago across town, so how can she just stop honoring a store coupon in the middle of a sale. She was really snotty and talking to me like im a 2 year old and kept repeating "you can purchase all six bags and we will honor the promo, or you can purchase one bag at a time, and use the coupon, but not both". She said it 3 times in sing-song style. I really wanted to climb her like a tree, and make her eat that dang flier... but i just pushed the chips across the counter to her and said.... well you can keep the last 6 bags in the store, and ring those up for yourself at $1.00 a bag after i leave. She literally gasped and clutched her chest like i had offended her moral highground... face blazing red, but she couldnt get one word to come out of her smart mouth. So i think i nailed it.

I used to work retail and I’d give my customers coupons 😂 I was all about saving them money. I’d tell my customers at bath and body works when the candle sales were coming so they didn’t buy them at full price

I was able to score 6 bags of Doritos. They did tell me it was a limit of one, but since I had the three dollar off of five or whatever it was that I can go ahead and do it. So I did and it rang up by one get one free so the three dollars didn’t come off but I was given three dollars in cash rewards so I am a happy camper. Thank you so very much.

I hate Walgreens rules they are so nasty
I was told today that I was only allowed to purchase one and the cashier told me that he was yelled at this morning for selling somebody two. Thank God I went to a different store on Sunday and was able to get six bags before they caught on.
Poor guy. Not his fault that it is glitching. These employees/managers care too much about Walgreens money. It doesn't affect their paychecks.
When I worked in retail, I always cheered the customer. Only time I would do something to stop it if I was specifically told by my manager ahead of time to not do it.
That’s when I would say “do you want to do the deal for yourself? I’ll show you when I get off the phone with customer service”
The flyers are probably put there by the Frito lay representative. I’m not sure they’re supposed to remove the flyers.
Also, yes, all my couponing Life cashiers and staff have often acted like if I got a really good coupon combination to get a really great price on products, like I was really stealing from them personally! All they have to do is scan everything and tell me the price. I don’t know why they’re so psychologically invested in price and get upset when people get a good price with their own coupons!
And yes, agreeing with them sometimes smoothes things out ; also I think all of those cashiers that have been helpful to me or rejoiced with me when I got a good deal and easy to work with! Thank goodness I am more often run into those in my area.
I haven't had any problems. I live In the Chicago Suburbs area and have many Walgreen's nearby my home. I haven't bought 6 at one time though. I thought I was finished until I was talking to a friend who I told I about the deal. She asked if I could bring the Dorito taco salad to her party on the 4th. Since I left the other bags at my mom's for when my brother and his kids are in town I went out for more. At one Wags the cashier didn't know what I was talking about. Said it was a coupon in the app. I had to go get the flyer at the front of the store and show him. Bought 2 there but needed nacho cheese which they didn't have. Second Wags I went to I told one of the employees about the deal that was walking past me in the chip aisle. There were signs up there for them. They didn't have any nacho cheese but I went ahead and bought two other bags. Scored at the last Wags where they had a big full display of Dorito's with a sign that said that the chips were 1.99. Brought 2 up to the counter and the cashier and I were talking about what a great deal it was. I mentioned I was making a taco salad for the 4th and then asked if it would be ok if I got two more bags. She didn't have a problem with it. Paid for them all with WC. All of these Walgreens are within a few miles of my home. I'm done. No more chips for me. I'm Dorito'd out.
I didn't get a spend booster this week though but that's ok.

I stopped by Walgreens early this morning. The Doritos store coupon is a dead deal. Per the Manager at the store corporate pulled it. Can no longer use "it was a mistake". They did not remove the flyers, just covered over the Doritos coupon. I did score 25 bags the previous day :). (I'm in California)
I went to CVS yesterday evening at7:30 pm. And I got some Doritos. My Walgreens cashier's are very sweet and even help me couponing. I live in Jacksonville, Alabama I'm a newbie to couponing.

You will always have a few coupon police you need to check (✅) from time to time. Sometimes they win sometimes the deal hunters win.
The manager was at the register when I got there yesterday. The coupon was on the counter so I grab 4 bags. It came up to 4.23. I used 4.00 in points and paid .23. He said that a good deal and someone was telling him about the deal Sunday. I went to my car , went back in to repeat the deal and he did care at all.

Tried today went to 4 stores finally found one with a few bags left, was gonna get 6. Cashier scans coupon and it says “coupon not valid in the system”. The manager comes says this coupon is for June, I said sir it is June and he’s like “oh yeah it is”🤦🏽♀️. I’m like it says offer valid until the 22nd and he starts looking on some device said that coupon isn’t showing in our system, I said sir it’s on the paper flyer as you can see🙄. He was so full of crap I just walked out! Called customer service to see if the coupon was still valid and it was. Explained everything that happened and was given some Walgreens cash for my troubles, representative was extremely nice and understanding.

I don't understand why the cashiers care. It doesn't come out of their paycheck. They don't even understand the difference between Walgreens cash and register rewards so that special attention on this. No thanks. My local manager is so angry all the time it looks like her head is going to pop off and her eyes are glowing red.

My store, the manager only let me and my uncle get 1 bag each bc she said the coupon said limit 1 she quoted”1 per customer”. She said and u can only do either or, either the coupon or do buy 1 get 1 half off deal😮 I was so mad but I kept my calm, didn’t give an attitude. The store associate kept trying to apologize for her managers attitude towards us. My uncle told her “ luv u don’t have to apologize for her nasty attitude, I just feel bad u have to work with her everyday bc I wldve already lost my damn mind working for someone like that. She was so apologetic, I truly felt bad for her but I was pissed. I was told every store has their own regulations so idk. I wish I cldve done this deal for my kiddos tho.

I did 4 bags yesterday, I asked my cashier if I needed to do separate purchases or if the coupon would work on all at once. She told me it will work for all at once, my understanding is it's not a glitch at all, it's supposed to work for all in one transaction. As someone who worked retail for years rule one is a cashier is not the coupon police, if the coupon goes thru it's good period. If it was a glitch corp would have the coupons and chips pulled or have the stores put up a "were sorry" sign.
I don't understand how there are so many workers who don't know the stores coupon policies! Are they told to tell people the wrong information, just in hopes that person won't say anything, so they cannot honor their own policy? And why does the cashier care how much you pay?? It doesn't come out of her pocket.
I'm thinking these are just miserable people who hate their job and their life and hate to see anyone else happy.

I got one bag yesterday at about 3 p.m. (that's all my store had). I paid $1.99 for this bag....they tried to tell me the deal was BOGO 50% off, so they said it would be $3.14 for the 2nd bag if they would of had them!
I did twice yesterday 3 off 5 DQ or PQ did not work for me. So I submitted to shopmium and got 3 back one time. Someone told me if you get all the same flavor 3 off 5 will come off but it may not true cause you've got all the same flavor and it did not come off. I'm thinking maybe you have to get 10 bags or more. Seems like most of people got more than 10bags, 3 off 5 came off.
I believe the free bags do not count because it is $3 off the purchase of 5. ❤

I got mine on Monday around 10 am. The store associate told me about the deal and asked me to use Walgreens cash as well. Sorry there was no call for her to be rude and unprofessional.
I purchased 10 bags yesterday, the coupon was at the register in a frame.....so, there it is!!! Next, WHO cares abt the employees attitude, I came for the deal, which I got. At the end of the day, if anyone is that rude...report them to the manager & CORPORATE 😮

A lot of these cashiers act like they are paying for your stuff and don't realize that even if you don't agree with something good customer service is everything.
I went to Walgreens last night to show a friend how to coupon. The manager there was pissed at me because we were supposed to get 16 RR back and kept saying we were doing it wrong. I took her to go show her the price tags on each item. The second she gave us cash back and the transaction went through she bye while shoving the stuff towards us. It was shocking to say the least!!

I went to one tonight. She said they aren’t doing it anymore because there was a glitch. They didn’t have any weekly ads magazines and Doritos in Mi. lol She seemed she might have been the upset from previous customers. She said you just can’t pay that little for those chips. I laughed inside thinking yes you can if Walgreens put that out there than ya that’s their problem no one else’s. Maybe they wanted that? I really wanted to say that.

I just did the deal in Brooklyn on 86th st in Bay ridge if any one want to do it it work flyer was by the register and I rolled a $4 register reward paid $1.97 for 6 bags
I did this deal the first day and got a $5 walgreens cash reward for my next walgreens visit. Not sure if I messed it up though because on the next day I bought the one bag before I looked at the reciept from the daybefore. I only did 1 bag though. Bummed that I could have done 6. When I went back into my store the flyers were gone but I have copies. Just didn't have them at the time. The cashier lied and said the flyer was not scanning so I am going to wait till after her shift and try other stores. Wish me luck.
