Kudos to your father for honoring history. I know it's a sacrifice. And thank you for carrying on the tradition of preservation in France. I wish they would show computer models with aerial views of these buildings. It's so amazing to see the footprint from a bird's view.

Wow, wow, wow! I LOVE French castle architecture. I just purchased an old photo album of French Royalty and can't wait to find out who they are!

Fascinating renovation and most interesting tour! I absolutely love the fact they are rebuilding parts using the construction techniques from the Era in which it was built. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you for the tour. I have just recently fallen down the rabbit hole of French Chateau restorations & find the whole thing so fascinating! What a wonderful contribution to your country’s history you are making by restoring your heritage. I’m wondering what the wrought iron contraption is just behind you at 22:30? All I can think of is a hanging cage for prisoners but I’m sure it is much too small to really be that, lol. I’d like to also request a birds eye view of the layout if you do another video. It really helps the viewer orient themselves to get an idea of where each section is in relation to the others. 👍👍😄
P.S. Because of the castle itself & the painting of Vice-Admiral Leon, I assume your family were Royalists during the French Revolution? I’d be so interested to get a video of the part the chateau & its inhabitants played during that time or at any time in its 800 year history. Thanks again for sharing your magnificent home w/us!
