WHILST A 7’9” GIANT continues to grow, he’s also finally achieved his dream - by landing his very first job. Formerly crowned the ‘world’s tallest teen’, Broc Brown spends every Saturday working at the Jackson YMCA sporting centre in Michigan. Broc, now 22, was born with Sotos syndrome, known as cerebral gigantism, and his mother was told he would not outlive his teen years. His growth has somewhat slowed down recently, but he’s managed to gain another inch in the last three years, much to the bemusement of doctors around the world. With size 28-inch feet, and being 5’2” in Kindergarten, Broc has always needed custom-made clothing - and has made use of a specialised 8ft bed and chair that were given to him by the community. Back in 2016, Broc told Barcroft TV: “I dream of working in a sporting goods store when I’m older, hopefully I can make that happen.” And just three years on, Broc has made that dream a reality. We need to get that dude a bigger walker damnit
👍👍👍
Yes may God hear you that's not healthy for his back
Yes! Just about any medical equipment can be custom made and he deserves a walker that is tall enough for him!
He also could really use a back brace!
But i think if he has a walker for his tall that he will knock his head everywhere..
I hope someone who customizes cars sees this and reaches out to build him a car seat. I’m an electrician, I’d be willing to donate money and time, but I don’t have the skill necessary to help. I hate to see ppl struggle like that, it definitely makes me have a greater appreciation and become more self aware to the things I unknowingly take for granted!
Dude you could try to reach out to the producers of this channel and see if they could help get the ball rolling? ❤️
Bless you, you are a kind person 🙏
Gavin1130 You have a kind soul
That’s amazing. Bless your work!
Bless you
Dude I can't even imagine the pain for being that tall
Not as much as the stares. The assumptions. The mockery.
My husband is 6'4 and has enough complications. Couldn't begin to imagine all of his 💖
im 6'4, nobody else in my family is tall or has historically been over 6'1 at the most. I have issues with doorways actually being too low, i have issues with cars like you wouldnt believe because compared to other tall people i have really really long legs and my knee will obstruct the steering wheel and i cant turn it. And all mirrors in cars are useless to me as well. It actually kind of sucks, I also suffer from having a bad neck from it. @@jamieanderson3862
Robert Wadlow at 8’11.1” had to get every asset custom made to just to live. What’s odd is that he didn’t die from gigantism complications, but a poorly fit ankle brace.
PilsPlease but your only 6’4 my cousin is 7’5 and he limbos through a door
You can tell he hurts. It makes me so sad. What a great spirited young man. I wish nothing but the best for Brock.
💙
Yeah I agree.
I was watching the video and as soon as I saw him with that walker I immediately commented that he needs a walker that is better suited for him and that is probably indusing more pain using the one he is!!
He died in September 2019 just 6 days after his mother died
Yea ita hurts my stomach fsr when thinking how much pain hes going through and im 6'10
He's such a humble guy! What about get him a custom made walker???😒😒😒
But i think if he has a walker for his tall that he will knock his head everywhere..
Can’t be good for his back to keep leaning over like that. Hope someone sees this and is able to help him get one.
Jamerican Amerija Dwfinitely. His back must be so sore all the time. 😩
@@ABCDoris yes😬! And how comes they dont address that😒?
Jamerican Amerija My friend is over 6ft tall and needs a walker due to Huntington’s Disease. She uses one of the tallest pre-made ones. My guess is this boy’s family simply cannot afford to pay for specially designed equipment for him. 😭
The thing he uses to walk looks too small for him
It is sadly.. it'll cause more issues too..
Wes best it’s called a walker, and yes it’s way too short for him
Wes best that walker kills me! I can’t believe they’ve not made a special one made for his stature.🥺😕
Wes best they should definitely get him a custom walker
Rollater,I'm sure I'm not spelling that right but that's we call them in the south
I bet the pool feels so nice for being that tall. I couldn’t even imagine the pain in his knees and spine. The water probably gives him a lot of needed relief
I was thinking the same thing. I wish they will customize his walker so it could be a little bit taller for him. So he doesn't have to bend down so much. I wish I had money to be able to help him cuz I would definitely get him a couple of shoes that are custom and also a walker so it could be easier for him and also the pain. It sucks sometimes when you want to help someone and you don't have the funds to do it. They should do a GoFundMe page Maybe.
stickWithlene sadly he passed away
@@mugsys how did you know?
@mugsys no. He very much still alive lol
Yeah a custom made walker seems like that would help but what a sweetheart
But i think if he has a walker for his tall that he will knock his head everywhere..
julie schouteden yea
I don’t even want to think about how difficult his life probably is
#"";,#':,:😒😒😂
he died
@@octaviocamacho5224 He's still alive
I know him. He’s lives in my area. Really nice kid!
Is he doing okay? I can’t find anything about him past summer, 2019. Thank you.
Wow... I'm going to try to see if I could find him but if you know his effort mation of how I could locate him. On Facebook or something. Please. Let me know. I would love to be his friend. And also help support him. And give him great advice. Everyone deserves someone And he seems very Charming. Hopefully you'll get back in contact with me. Take care.
People are saying he passed away is that true?
account that's what I'm trying to find out, genuinely
Yeah, sadly, he died at the young age of 22.
I remember watching his first video. Really glad he is doing well. Thanks for the update Barcroft!
My kids and I watch this channel. It is so important for them to see a person overcoming adversities.
Yo he jus tall💀
Congratulations Broc on your job at the YMCA. This Is the first step toward making your dreams come true. So sorry to hear your mom is in the hospital. I bet your aunt takes real good care of you. God bless you and your family. Take care. Kath UK.
“My hope for the future would be to...make cash”

God bless him!! What a sweet soul!!💙💙💙God bless the entire family💙🙏💙
I wish I had money to help customize a car and home for this young man and his mom.
And his walker
It’s awesome he got a job to bring him extra happiness and he gets to swim afterward. He seems like a gentle giant 💜
his antie is so kind
Well Barcroft you have me in tears again this was such a beautiful story. Brock seems like a really gentle Giant that wants to improve his life and also his family. I am so sorry to hear his mother has been in the hospital for so long I'm sure he deeply misses her. I hope this job leads too great oppoturnities in his life because he does deserve it.😁😁
Glad to see he’s doing fine and he got a job ... that’s awesome....
4:55 😢😢😢. He goes through so much. Wish you the best Broc!
I think it is so sad when "some people" in this world make fun of people that are born with certain conditions, it's bad enough that they have to deal with certain conditions and then some people give them a hard time about their problems too.
I'm 6'7" and I had the worst growing pains/leg/knee pains, could only imagine how painful it is for him.
Thats not normal, 6'7 isn't that tall.
Bernard Brunu no that's really tall
@@BernardBrunu1 average man's height is 5'10 so yes 6'7 is tall compared to an "average height" man.
@@BernardBrunu1 did you just say 6'7 isn't tall, well that's the first time I've ever heard anyone utter those words to me. Guess there's a first time for everything 😂
MrLuwid yeah I don’t consider 6’7” very tall either I’m 6’4” and still growing albeit very small amounts but I consider myself short and I really don’t know why. Everyone tells me so tall blah blah but I feel short and I’m not sure why
I wish his walker was taller for him. Being in the water must be relief for his joints. Sweet man!
Finally something worth watching👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾 Thank you
Good luck for him
Wishing you nothing but the best, Broc! Thank you for sharing your story with the world. 💕
What a nice update on Brock he looks happy
My son is 5 foot 3 inches and he's going to the 4th grade . People always remark at how big he is and tbh I find myself getting upset about it some times. This shows me I shouldn't even be complaining! My son is no where near this gentleman's size but my point is- I can't imagine how much this man and his family have to go through! God Bless this young man and his family- he seems so happy and for that - his family deserves the credit !
5ft-3"? Thats not really that tall. when I was in the 3rd grade I had a girl in my class who was 5ft-11" now she was super tall!
I seen her years later and Shes still 5ft-11" She still towers over me 🤗 I maxed out at 5ft-4"......
@@garychambers5850 it is tall for a 4th grader though. Compared to normal growth. Either way this was 3 years ago - he’s now 14 - 6 foot 4 , over 200 pounds and in a size 13 shoe 😂
@@misstinahamilton5714I also have a friend who's like around my age and he's also 6'4, pretty tall for a 14 and 16 year old regardless, im 5'10.5 at age 16, going through my first growth spurt ever, im probably gonna top out 6'2-6'4 when I'm done growing by the time lol. I had pretty tall family members because I have only known 1 which he was my uncle and my other uncle and a great great grandfather were pretty tall, 3 of them were around 6'3-6'4, 6'2-6'3, and had one from my dad's side who he was around 6'7-6'8.

Reminds me of my adopted dad.. who's had two knee replacement and u bearable pain his whole life from all the weight and pressure on his bones.. poor baby boy...
He's so sweet!
I've seen him before, and admire his desire to work. I understand he's in alot of pain...
When my wife walked out and abandoned our 3 year old born with Autism
I raised our child alone ever since, child is going to be 15 this April 2020
It has been very demanding to say the least.
So to the lady that is taking care of this Friendly Giant.
You did an AMAZING job raising him and still are doing so wonderful.
Folks do not understand the hardships we parents undergo every day.
But the love, care, patience, compassion, and understanding we show not every day
sometimes MANY MANY times per hour.
We sacrificed being with or finding our life partner in order to take care of our special ones.
Like I have not had any sort of relationship with any female at all in 12 years.
So lonely it is, but so worth it I find.
Broc, your family really loves you so much, you are getting so much love for all the people here on youtube
we see beyond your challenges, every single one of us face challenges in one way or another.
The way you are dealing with you challenges is very inspiring to so many people.
I look what I am going through and what my child is going through, then watched a few videos of you.
You are so very beautiful Broc, keep it going, you are THE MAN and we love you for just being you.
.
What an amazing nature this young man has! Even thou he is obviously suffering in pain...his attitude is humbling 🙏❤️

Great story. Best of luck Broc with your job.
He's a wonderful human being!!!
He has earned my respect.
Someone make a special walker for him ASAP
Please do blessing with a walker
I can honestly say that's a fella I'd love to sit down and talk to especially with him being the same age
What a loving family.
What an inspiring and life changing story...made me cry and laugh....emotions
God bless you people for giving him a job.
Bless him, what a sweetheart. I love him. I really wish he had a specialized walker though, something taller so he wouldn't have to bend over at such an angle when he walks-- that has to be uncomfortable and it's very bad for his posture over the long term. I hope he can find something much better suited for him!
Aww I love this guy he's so great
“he’s fun, he’s humorous, he loves to joke around, he’s fun” okay lmao good
