Serial rapist and ex-Met officer David Carrick jailed for at least 30 years

A former police officer unmasked as one of Britain's most prolific sex offenders was told he will serve at least 30 years in jail as he was handed 36 life sentences.
David Carrick, 48, committed violent and degrading sexual offences against 12 women over the course of two decades while serving with the Metropolitan Police.
He pleaded guilty to 49 charges, including 24 counts of rape, and was sentenced at Southwark Crown Court.
Mrs Justice Cheema-Grubb told him he had behaved as if he was "untouchable" and used his job to take "monstrous advantage of women".
