    If Japan weren't your first team to support, they had to be your second, such an inspiring team to watch!

    I loved every game of Japan's that I watched.
    They played with a strong heart and unbreakable spirit.
    Absolutely beautiful.
    Cheers from NZ!

    Japan should have world team of the year 2019. They really shocked the world.

      The Boks also had a amazing year - they only lost one game, and it really was the best form they had been in, since the 2015 world cup

      People were expecting either the Boks or the all blacks to win. No one expected japan to make it through to knock out stages or to even beat Scotland and Ireland and when you break expectations like that I think you deserve team of the year.

      @@frikkieramabolo172 That's a fair point, and I think if the award were based solely on the WC, then japan deserved it more

    Springbok fan here, I reckon Japan will continue to develop into a better competitor and is one of the future forces of rugby. Great competitors, they play the game with passion and fire. I would love to see a tournament annually where Japan can face the Springboks and the Northern Hemisphere nations to sharpen their skills.

    Great video, thanks for all the awesome content! This last RWC was the best yet (South African here, I'm a bit based lol) and Japan's story on and off the filed was a big part of that. The team's tactic of running opposition off their feet meant exciting games to watch and the conduct of the fans, many of whom were new to watching rugby, was amazing to see from the comfort of my couch.
    As an aside, those of you moaning about foreign born players need to understand that it's not easy to play international rugby. Get off your couch and go play in an international game. Then you are welcome to come back and whine about people that see themselves as Japanese citizens representing their country. It's a feat and keyboard warriors are far too quick to discredit the success of others when no one else can see the lack thereof in their own lives.

    Japan was impressively well because of how they played. Japan played with speed and skill which would easily run through teams based more on power and phases like Fiji and Samoa.

  • @diegogomez6355
    @diegogomez6355 Před 4 lety +1

    More than half of them were not japanese, including the captain. Also, because of the typhoon, there were some drawn matches and were not deferred. In that sense this world cup was a shame, leaving out very good teams, just for giving publicity in this sport to a country that does not deserve it.
