    @chiefzski Před rokem +12

    From my experience in ADAC Nürnberg Simracing Expo, in ACC, CSL DD is very good, but with only QR2. And QR2 is expected through this year for 250€...
    Without the QR1 I was surprised how things are changed for the FFB feeling. It felt smooth and details were very noticable, but for only 8 Nm, which doesn't feel whole car dynamics at all, it starts kinda 13-15 Nm hold torque ranges. I need to mention that Fanatec is marketing their products with Peak torques not Hold torque values. For example: DD1 is 15 Nm on Linear mode (which DD system is all about), but they say it is 20 Nm which is only applicable for Peak condition (you never want Peak mode with DDs, it boosts every detail up to 20 Nm so you can't differentiate any details). CSL DD (8 nm) is only applicable for PEAK mode. On LINEAR mode, you can only see 5 Nm, which is really really bad. Because of that you always must use Peak torque in an entry level DDs, and it is the same details CSW V2.5 8.2nm belt-driven motors from previous generation. Only difference is the reaction time and no friction force coming from belt. It feels to me that CSL DD is too light, but it does it's job very well for an entry DD.
    Moza is kinda dissappointing on FFB details compared to Fanatec because it is much complex software and a little bit robotic feeling on direction changes. The QR is rock solid. But the biggest issue is maybe with the motor design. Why am I saying that? Because I have tried every DD on the market (Simucube, VRS, Moza, Fanatec, Simagic, Logitech, Asetek), Moza has a BIG problem with Oscillation. If it was solvable through software, they could have done easily until now. I almost broke my finger when I used Moza R16 with GS wheel in Expo using an Formula 1 car. It was oscillating A LOT and when I changed directions, it was hitting my hand through the opposite side with a punch. If you cannot use a product %100 in software and change in-game gain FFB, you lose details.
    I'm using my Simucube 2 Pro (25 Nm) %100 always in iRacing at home, and never found any issue with the force, because in-game FFB gain is %38. It never oscillates, so I can leave the wheel both hands so that I can drink my tea and chill in long straights.

    @Deniz1923 Před rokem +4

    One important thing to consider: You can use custom wheels with the moza ecosystem, with or without their qr, or with no qr at all (with a 3d printed adapter). No such thing on fanatec. Actually I think there might be some simucube compatible wheels for the fanatec CSL DD base. But they don't come cheap. And if you want a completely incompatible custom wheel, you can't use a 3rd party qr, you must use a 3d printed adapter, and also you must use an arduino mini to 'fool' the base into thinking you have a fanatec wheel plugged in, cause fanatec bases won't work when they don't recognize a fanatec wheel. And the arduino mini takes a fair bit of know how to make it work, not as simple as plugging a into b into c, and having a working product. Which is far simpler in moza, and cheaper.
    But people not always try to shave 100 bucks here and there, and this is basically a non issue for those folk.

  • @Schwobeseggel
    @Schwobeseggel Před rokem +8

    I have had both of them, would never ever go back to fanatec! If you are on a budget and plan to go for a wheel with the QR Lite, don't! QR squeaking and rattling with the QR lite is the worst thing ever, did not even want to drive after the squeaking got more over time, thought the QR will break any second. The CSL DD had random disconntects, because the shaft was not seatet properly in the factory, lost more than one race because of it...and the worst part for me was them wanting 200€ for the podium hub, just to put on custom wheels.
    Have not had a single problem with my Moza (6 months in), have not looked back a second and all this with a better price and higher torque! The only downside was at the time I bought the Moza the only available wheel was the GS because of which I build my own GT3 wheel but I could not be happier :)

      And if they finally release it you'll probably have to pay 200€+ just for the base side and another 150€ for every single wheel (looking at the price of the current QR1) which makes no sense on an CSL DD.
      The CSL DD is a great base that is drastically held back by the QR and the locked ecosystem (custom wheels costing at least 200€ more because of the podium hub).
