- Professional entertainer and wrestler Hulk Hogan took the stage at Day 4 of the Republican National Convention on Thursday. Hogan called former President Trump a "real American hero." Trump has been seen wearing a bandage on his right ear following an assassination attempt during a weekend rally in Butler, Pennsylvania. Trump's running mate, Ohio Senator JD Vance, made his first speech to the RNC as a vice presidential candidate on Wednesday night. This comes ahead of a speech by Trump on Thursday when he's slated to accept the GOP presidential nomination.

39 year old guy here who got chills when Hogan was speaking. I watched the entire thing glued to the screen, it was like I was watching wrestling again as a kid. I told my wife the only thing that was missing from his promo was his famous "Whatcha gonna do"....then he got to the end and I guess my wife could feel it and she started poking me and he said WHATCHA GONNA DO and i got goosebumps because man his energy was just like the old days and the crowd was white hot. I had no idea Hulk Hogan was even speaking at the convention.

At the Hard Rock Cafe in Orlando, I waited on Hulk Hogan a couple of times. I can absolutely guarantee you that he is a truly nice guy. When not on stage, he is quiet, pleasant, and very unassuming. A true pleasure to have served him. Oddly, I never cared for him as a wrestler (GREAT performer, but a very weak array of actual wrestling skills), as I was always a fan of Ric, the NATURE BOY! Flair and Bret Hart. But as a real person? Terry is indeed a world champion.

He had a superhuman body, but he also looked young and naive.
At that time, most wrestlers were in their 30s and 40s, so his youth was very attractive.
And he became the first IWGP champion.
Now I'm in my 50s, and Hogan is 70, so I'm relieved that he looks to be in good physical condition.
