As good as many of their covers are, it is when they do old school blues that their best comes out, imho. It is simply divine, and touches the soul.
These women play true blues and it's great to hear. Unaffected, honest vocals and really fine instrument work make listening to their music pure pleasure. Larkin Poe: keeping blues alive.

I'm so very glad I came across Larkin Poe when I did, about a year ago. I fell in love with them watching the videos they made sitting on a couch, no microphones. Then after a few days I saw a video they did with a drummer and a bass player! So now I'm hooked for life. Can't wait for the pandemic to end so I can catch a live show! Rock on!!!

Couldn't agree more hun! I cannot believe I only found about them as a random suggestion today as blues, classic rock, and metal are the ONLY things I play! Then again, what do you expect from the randomness of CZcams suggestions!?! 😆! My family claims I can't sing, but others claim I have a soulful and bluesy voice! Others say I am "shouting"! Guess they have NEVER HEARD the "whining, soulfulness" of a true blues singer! Which to some isn't everyone's tastes and I guess could sound screechy and like shouting, but in reality if you have the right "control and depth" which I have been told I have it sounds so much different! I would like to be pro, but sadly I have had so many health issues since I was I was a child and they just keep getting worse and I am only 28 I would have to take off too much time to see the 14-15 docs I have on my yearly line-up and the 3-5 on my monthly and due to country pill restrictions I could never tour outside of the USA! If only it were Beethoven's day, back when there weren't such restrictions but with the same modern means to handle my health-care! 😞!
