    About Sri Narayana Guru:
Sri Narayana Guru Devan (1856 - 1928) was a great sage, spiritual leader, and a social reformer from Kerala, India. Driven by the strong motive to break superstitions and taboos that were holding back the Indian society from progress, the Guru underwent years of strict penance and meditation in solitude before attaining total enlightenment. Following which he went on to pave the way for social reform and change in India. So great was his influence that he attracted some of the greatest thinkers, philosophers, and fellow social reformers of his time, who sought his advice and/or aided him in his efforts. These included luminaries such as Mahatma Gandhi, Rabindranath Tagore, and many others, who were all enthused by the Guru’s ideals and teachings.
    About Sri Ramana Maharshi:
Bhagavan Sri Ramana Maharshi (Venkataraman Iyer, 1879 - 1950) was a great sage and enlightened guru who lived in Tiruvannamalai, near the holy hill Arunachala in south India. He went there shortly after his unexpected, spontaneous and sudden enlightenment, at the young age of 16. He lived there until his Mahasamadhi (final conscious release from the body at death) on April 14, 1950, at the age of 71. Dr. Carl G. Jung, the world famous psychologist, once said of him: “In all of India, he is the whitest spot in a white space.”. Sri Ramana Maharshi is one of the most renowned spiritual gurus of India.

Nirvrithi Panchakam (Five verses on Tranquility) of Sree Narayana Guru, with meaning:
Kim nama desha ka jathih pravrutthi ka kiyad vayah
Ityadi vadoparathir yasya tasyaiva nirvrithi. (1)
Meaning: What is your name? Where are you from? What is your caste? What is your profession? How old are you? He who is free from such questions alone attains tranquility.
Aagacha gacha magacha pravisha kvanu gachasi
Ityadi vadoparathir yasya tasyaiva nirvrithi. (2)
Meaning: Come! Go! Don't go! Come in! Where are you going? He who is free from such discussions alone attains tranquility.
Kva yasyasi kada ayata kuta ayasi kosi
Ityadi vadoparathir yasya tasyaiva nirvrithi. (3)
Meaning: When did you go? When did you come? From where did you come? Who are you? He who is free from such questions alone attains tranquility.
Aham tvam soyam antarhi bahir asti na va asti va
Ityadi vadoparathir yasya tasyaiva nirvrithi. (4)
Meaning: Me or you, that or this person, inside or outside, he who is free from such discussions alone attains tranquility.
Jnata ajnata samah sva anya bheda shoonyah kuto bhida
Ityadi vadoparathir yasya tasyaiva nirvrithi. (5)
Meaning: Equal towards the known and unknown, without discrimination between self and others, then why is this difference? He who is free from such questions alone attains tranquility.
(These profound verses of Narayana Guru signify the tranquil silence of Ramana Maharshi when he met him in Skandashram.)

If I may share a dream I had of Maharshi… in the dream, he simply held up a snake in his hand and smiled. Instantly there was an understanding that came… the lazy wisdom of the snake. The snake wishes to be warm but does not buy clothes or exercise to stay warm. The snake simply moves into the sun and lets the sun do the work. So be wise, be like the snake, and abide in the source of the warmth ☀️🙏

Kerala and TN have been blessed with so many enlightened masters over the years. The current state of both Kerala and TN is really pitiable, run amok by missionaries and PFI-likes who want to root out this glorious culture and the blessing that these great saints bestowed on the people there.

This is beautiful. A small suggestion, to roll our thoughts around. “ Even Mahatma Gandhi . . . “ Avathaarams like Sri Ramana Maharishi and Sri Narayana Guru do not need the recommendation of an ordinary human like M.K.Gandhi with his many failings and foibles. Also, the word Brindaavanam may be more accurate than “tomb”. They signify two entirely different things.

Thank you for sharing this enchanting & profound video of what transpires when two deeply enlightened beings meet. They only exchange a few words, but they both acknowledge they are in the presence of pure spirit. The image that comes to mind is what must happen when one vast ocean meets another vast ocean.
