So Harry knew.

You can see a table behind them. Maybe in that table were drinks. And that guy was a classmate or friend and Viktor talked with him let Hermione talk with her friends.
Maybe that's the place where drinks are and he met that student on the way, and the student had to tell him something.
In 1:02 you can see him coming with drinks, he probably waited for her while talking with his friend

She was interested in Ron (but obviously not to the extent of excluding other suitors) and someone else asked her first..... someone who was highly accomplished at his field of expertise (and Ron showed no expertise at anything in particular throughout the whole series) and was kind of exotic, as well as being much better looking than Ron. There's nothing wrong in taking a better option, when your first option falls through.

Thanos - The Inevitable Harry also didn’t behave great towards his date. He basically didn’t pay any attention to Parvati all night. She still enjoyed herself though and eventually left him to dance with a different boy, which was probably happy for both of them. But you know, Harry wasn’t an adult ignoring his date he was only 14 so that’s just kind of how it goes sometimes.

idk For Harry at least in a way it was, as the Champions HAD to bring a date because they were supposed to have a traditional dance with their partners. I would still say it was rather rude and unusual (the way Harry and Ron behaved) but again, they were only 14 and it wasn’t the rudest thing in the world. Padma was a bit cold from Ron from the beginning because of how he was dressed and Parvati was thrilled to preform the traditional champion dance with Harry and tried to have a good time with him afterwards, but when the twins realized that Harry and Ron were going to act like the way they were they left to dance with other boys who asked them
one of my favorite things about the harry potter movies is seeing the relationship between harry,ron and hermonie grow and change and just seeing them develope it was amazing, this is probably the moment ron stops lying to himself about hermonie and finally comes to senses that he has feelings for her

Girl in your friends group get ignored romantically, and then lashes out at the end of the year because you don't acknowledge her existence as a viable partner.
