- This video tutorial provides a basic introduction into 30-60-90 triangles. It explains how to find the value of the missing side of other triangles using the 30-60-90 reference triangle. This information is useful for high school and college students studying geometry and trigonometry and for students studying the SAT math and ACT math sections. This tutorial contains plenty of examples and practice problems.

MR. Organic Chemistry Tutor, thank for another fine explanation of the 30-60-90 Special Right Triangles
im so cooked
I'm burnt
Nahh bro this shit easy
I’m on fire 😢
same test due in 40 min
If you guys don't get it, here is a simpler way:
Let the side across the 30 degree angle have a side length of x.
Let the hypotenuse be 2x, and let the side across the 60 degree angle be x times sqrt(3).
Using algebra, you can find different side lengths by having one. For example, if the hypotenuse of a 30-60-90 triangle is 54 units long, the side across the 30 degree angle is 27 units, and the remaining side length is 27 sqrt(3).
Dear Organic Chemistry Tutor,
I love you. Thanks for everything
Thank you. I understood better , keep up the good work
Amazing, this totally simplifies the pythagorean theorem, nice shortcuts!!
Sorry.but when i substitute the value as the formula ,it doesnt look right
I’ve literally struggled with this concept for so long and this has finally helped me thank you
Thank you! Love the way you teach :)
Makes it simple!
im so happy listening to you explaining things. so easy to learn
Subscribed!! I'm a fan! You're awesome!
I'm in 8th grade and I have a test soon I'm so stressed and this really helped!
I’m learning this in 10th💀

My initial confusion before coming to this with no prior knowledge is the x, which I thought there was a variable, but, I come to find out that's it multiplication. THX
thank you omg ive been through like fifteen videos before finding this one and I have a quiz tmrw 😭
Very clear explanation.Thank you
The 45-45-90 video you did a great job. For this one, it got confusing. There were some points you may have missed mentioning.
The only part missing was the 60 to 90 but I can't find sources on it correct me if I'm wrong
This video helped so much 😭
THANK YOUUUUU SO MUCHHHH THIS REALLY HELPED!!!!!!!!!
help im confused my exam is due in 20 minutes
quarantine got these public teachers even worse than they was before,
my teacher fr don't even explain anything good he just gives us a video of some random asian lady who can barely speak english trying to explain math
and then gives us an worksheet he didn't even make
And then they say they ✨ StrESSed✨ 🥰
Very helpful. Thank u, God bless
Bro ur life saver
GREAT VIDEO!!
Oo
yo thanks for this, I failed my test!!!
💀
Great help
I’m confused
same I have a test tmr and I don't understand anything.....
Same 😂
Same
Skill issue
@@milanporteous2206how did it go?
thank you alotttt❤️❤️❤️❤️
All i can say is THANK YOU.
you teach in an amazing way, although i wish you could give us a method to memorize these.
I couldn’t keep up at first because of the difference in the way this was taught to us but this seemed to give me a more better understanding and in a new perspective and I’m now not solely relying on formulas but on critical thinking. Thank you
Thx so much better than my teacher
Thank u Soo much
very helpful
Tysm!!!!
Good video 👍
I'm super confused how do you know when to use 90 - 30, 30 - 60 and such in the triangles.
The line that's in the front front of the angle is going to be the 30-60-90, also remember that the line that is in front of the mini square in the triangle is going to be the line 90
all angles need to add up to 180 degrees
You gotta beliy
thank you
Thankyouuuu
thank u!!!!
Around 3:26 you mention going 30 to 60 and having to multiply by square root three but the triangle calls for a 60 to 30 so wouldn’t you actually divide by square root three and get 12 instead of 36?
bro what im more confused about what an angle is
thank yoouuuuu
thank you so much
lol whats wrong with George W. Bush
first saw the khan academy video. there was little but of confusion. Now it's clear
life saver
Sir bryan is my teacher!
I’m confused, How we know when that we have to find the hypotenuse side or the legs of the triangle side first?
Look at the given first, if the hypotenuse side is already given then find the other two sides, if one side is given, then find for the hypotenuse then the other side, just look at the given that is given to you xd
Prince GD Oh Thank you
I'm confused really need my teacher😭
you saved my BEHIND omg i was about to fail my whole quiz before i watched this
3:34 why would you multiply? you dont explain why you do some steps
Why is ut the square root of 3 what rule makes that possible and with the 45 45 9i triangle it’s square root of 2 instead of 3
across also means opposite ,right?
right
this vid is angel number
Hi JM, i know that this is pretty old since posting, but hoping you can explain. around 6:03 you have one side 24 units, that's longer than the hypothenus. Please if possible, respond. PS. like your videos.
Heyo As a Mad Scientistbi shall give you my Best answer which is simply that I Belive he messed up the Sides as 24 Should be The Hypotenuse and 16√3 Should be the Corresponding angle to the 60°
16 times square root of 3 is 27.71......, JG are right
how did you find the decimal for the answer?
(100 x pi) - (50 x sqrt3)
My king 😭😭😭
❤❤❤
Bro why can't u be my math teacher
The organic chemistry guy this is confusing please update this video
i dont get a the 90--------30 devide by 2 or multiply thing it is too confusing
what do you mean, this is literally as simple as it gets..
When going from 90 to 30, you’re looking for the shorter side. So u have to divide.
I understand this better, but I still don't know on how to rewrite it into ratios. 😔
WTF THIS CONFUSING ASF I STILL DUN GET IT F HELP
i despise geometry with every fiber of my being
same man
You sound like the guy in the Red effect
what about 60 to 90
He said never go from 60 to 90.
My math teacher would say use your BRAIN i cant help you and i come to you to learn it and in this video one part is confusing!!!!!
WHAT IF WE GIVEN 60 DEGREE AND NEEDED TO FIND 90 DEGREE
first do 60 to 30, then do 30 to 90, hope this helps
i luv u
all of the 60,962 people were confused till they watched this video
I'm confused
did not help still getting them wrong
am still confused very
1111 u will pass
He said square root 3 at 1:10, lol
Why doesn't he draw these spec. rt triangles at least approximate to their angle and side measures?
Because in geometry, you dont go by visuals, you go by the sngles/sides given
It doesnt and shouldn't matter in math

Guys I can’t do this I have a c in geometry and I’m tired of people saying it’s easy😭

This dude is using angles. We need sides…
I think he started with the given angles to find the missing side..
What
Are you related to Mark Wahlberg?
Lol he does sound like Mark Wahlberg

Wtf just happened
Yea no I still know nothing
Does anyone barely understand any of this at all
