    Bishops opening is no joke. Lots of tricky lines and White always gets a playable position even when black plays well. Only downside is many of the lines cut both ways. Meaning if you mess up you can easily get dunked on.

    • @alexjoshuaws
      @alexjoshuaws Před 28 dny

      Kxe5 was my initial reaction, I saw the same line also. However, after kxe5, black can play 0xh6. This is why Bxh7 is the better move, as if black takes with the knight on f6, whites bishop on g5 captures blacks bishop and creates a fork, winning a rook for a bishop.. apposed to sacrafising a bishop for 2 pawns and an undefended king. Also a solid move but I think bxh7 is stronger, as you can follow it up with the kxe5 next

    • @alexjoshuaws
      @alexjoshuaws Před 28 dny

      Bxh7 is +1, +3 if black takes..
      Kxe5 is -1 to expose the king, but you can simply do this move after Bxh7 and not have to sacrafise your bishop 😊

    • @josephsalmonte4995

    This never works, their knight takes your pawn, you take their pawn with tour pawn, their knight takes your pawn on f2, so tou have to take it with your king to save your queen or rook, their queen gives check, you can only block with a pawn, they take your bishop, then after that no matter what you do, they can grab your centre pawn or even h1 rook. BEST move after knight takes e4 is Be3

    Once again, Stockfish saves the day.
    After 6. Nc3, better for Black is 6...Be7. Now if 7. Qh4, Black plays 7...d5. Then if 8. Bd3, play could continue as follows: 8...Nbd7 9. Bg5 c6 10. Bf5 O-O, and Black holds on to the pawn.
    And if White plays 7. Bg5, Black responds with 7...h6 and White's attack soon fails, for example, 8. Qh4 d5 9. O-O-O c6 10. Rhe1 Be6 11. Bd3 Nfd7 12. Bxe7 Qxe7 13. Qxe7+ Kxe7.
    Realistically, it's unlikely that Black will find the correct response over the board. And we're told to play 1...e5 as beginners?

      You shouldnt be focused on maintaining the same elo while trying to improve. To improve is to lose, to see what to not to do, and what to do next time. You have to make mistakes to realise why a certain move was/is bad, and what you could've done better or differently. Just play and gain skill then focus on climbing once you have the practise to do so. Practising unranked games is like training for an opponent who wont play their best, you might as well just train vs them
