- Horus, an Assyrian style laminated bow, made by Sergey Trenin, from our friends at Sarmat Archery. Will be soon on their website :)
A nice to shoot bow, draw is very smooth, looks great, well crafted, does nice 32” max draw. Has just a bit hand shock/vibration.

During the Early Iron Age, Neo Assyrian empire invaded Egypt. This led the Egyptians to adopt the Assyrian Bow Design. So Horus Being an Egyptian Diety is an Excellent name
The Egyptians had a similar bow design in the New Kingdom (Late Bronze Age) BEFORE the Assyrian conquest.
I really like the shape it's quite elegant looking. Another great bow for the money, a little loud and twangy but I bet a good fast flight string would help immensely. Great honest review as always thank you my friend for what you do for your viewer's.
Thank you Armin for this Video! Nice and beautiful Bow, I like the shape and this type of honey colour!
A very simple but yet great looking bow!!!
Beautiful!
I am always surprised at how hard and fast Assyrian bows throw the arrow, im definitely going to get the one made by Grozer
I have this bow. And didn’t know it’s it’s name Horus. Cooool!!!!! So badass. I named 1 of my long bow the wind spear.
How do you like the bow? Would you recommend it?
I really like the introduction of this video. I like the epping feeling when it comes to weapons especially archery. I think you should add more epic scenes in your videos. Your videos are already epic don't get me wrong. I like the slow motion parts also. But like that intro with the epic music. I like it.
Simple and very elegant looking bow.
Nice one, I like it!
String sounds a lot like Dacron, an upgrade to FF would probably stop the longbow feel. And increase performance too.
Always like watching your videos
The Assyrian swept down like a wolf on the fold
his cohorts all gleaming in purple and gold
the spears of his host were like stars on the sea'
that nightly rolls in over dark Gallilee
Nice bow. Would have been nice to have more info with it.
Same as AF Babylon Assyrian design the limb angle, everything...but when it draws the limb curve is fantastic.. like grozer bow.
The price is 240 USD, i'm waiting for mine to be delivered :).
cool, great bow for a good price
@@ArminHirmer indeed cheap
How do you like the Bow?
@@worldtraveler8372 It's nice :). Easy to handle, fast (depite low poundage, 33#), sits nice in hand. I'd definitely reccomend it.
I hope one day you can test some real hornbows from Ivar Malde or Lukas Novotny, that would be amazing!
Hi Armin! would you mind sharing where you get your nice black shirt? It is difficult these days to buy nicely made clothes! It looks amazing on you!
thank you, its from "bargear"
What a specimen
What are the laminations? I see they have bamboo and fiberglass laminations on their website. Curious to know all the materials in it.

Hi Armin, what is the glove you are shooting with? thanks!
