Dead Ends Are Not Dead

One is bound to be let down in the end. When the bad news hits, one is disappointed, shattered, more dead than alive.
Perhaps one should revert to more modest expectations that are more in keeping with reality.
Without false hope, can you live each day like it’s your last day on earth? You will not turn down any sound or sight, no matter how disagreeable. There is no time to think, agonize, or regret. Would money, ambition, attraction, or hatred mean anything anymore? Only the simple act of breathing matters, as well as simple sights, sounds, and kindness.
