I was more die hard about buffy than charmed but my dad would always watch charmed with me and it was a special thing for us. After my parents seperated he would record the episodes abd wait til I was there to watch them together.

Gavin, do you remember that the same clock and wall got destroyed in almost every single episode? Sometimes several times in an episode... At a certain point, it became a combination of comedy and frustration. My best friend had all of the books. We both loved the show but I was never inclined to spend my money on the books (I didn't trust supermarkets to sell books of quality and I didn't have enough money. I'd rather spend it in a bookstore on stories I couldn't get in the library or tv). This is nostalgia. I was recently watching some of the rerun episodes. Next to rerun episode of The Ghost Whisperer. Those shows used to be scheduled after one another here and apparently so are the reruns. It was fun. Added later: I also remember having a Charmed-themed nightmare once. It was hella disturbing and I think it was based on one of the demons that made a specific threat to the sisters. I don't remember what it was exactly, just that it had to do with a couple of the episodes I found scary. And there weren't many of those. I also remember waking myself up from the nightmare and falling asleep again to find myself back in it like three or four times that night. I was like: the fuck, brain. Why do you do this to me? I wake up for a reason.

So I love charmed so so much and I had no idea these books existed. well, i guess i have something to look now haha. i'd love to hear your opinions on them reading as an adult. My big Charmed story tho, i feel like you'll appreciate. When i was 16, my family went to America for the first time (I'm Australian btw), and one of the stops was San Francisco. My parents chose this but my sister and I were HYPED for one reason... and that was that we really wanted to know what that pointy pyramid building was that was shown in every span over the city in every charmed episode. We needed to know. My parents, bless their souls, actually humoured us and let us traipse around the city for an afternoon to find this building. It was an awe inspiring moment until we discovered it was just a random business building. literally nothing special inside. i was so SAD. But I also can say that I have stood at the bottom of the pyramid building from Charmed so i don't care haha. I honestly don't know if I can articulate which charmed episode is my favourite. Every time i do a re-watch, i will inevitably say "oh i love this episode" as basically every episode started haha. I also want to make a book of shadows replica too..... one day... [we don't talk about the remake. how the remake can have worse special effects than the original astounds me.]
I love charmed as well! Could you recommend some newer books that give you similar feels. Ideally would include the diverse myths and legends and creatures, but also with characters that you could grow to love.
I always knew Charmed existed but I have never been interested in watching the show when I was a kid or a teenager. I watched it for the first time when I was about 20, so the show was already a bit "old" at the time, but... I still really liked it. There are a lot of questionnable things in Charmed but oddly it's still so enjoyable đ (sorry if there are some mistakes, I'm French)
O wow, a few months ago I actually bought the last few books that were missing in my Charmed series! I remember buying them in the 'Free Record Shop', a Dutch shop that was mostly cd's and dvd's, and being so excited when a new one came out. I think my collection is now complete, but seeing your video, I think they didn't translate them all in Dutch. There are 6 'Classics', the ones with Prue in them. And I don't think I have the last one you showed, with the Halloween vibe. So there may be a few missing. Pretty sure I have all the Dutch ones though. Also, my favorite episode is in season 2, Chick Flick. I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to horror/slasher etc. films, but this episode was so much fun and I really enjoyed it. So much so, that it's the only title I can remember from the whole series! O, and Piper/Leo were probably the first people I shipped. Although I didn't really realize it then. Lovely video Gavin and I had a great time reminiscing about Charmed :).

This makes me nostalgic. Charmed was a show we watched as a family and I remember loving the sisters and loving having something we did together as a family. I remember loving Prue in the first few seasons and Piper the most in following seasons but because I am the third sister irl I had to be phoebe and phoebe and I were so different that I was actually upset about this đ. One of the blurbs mentioned Andy - wasn't that Prue's police boyfriend? I might be remembering wrong as i haven't seen a show in years and years. I also haven't read the books but they sound like worth a read if they are companions to the show. The latter seasons got really convoluted and I got so confused so I don't remember the ending as I didn't get the whole thing with the baby - Wyatt was it?
the way this intro gave me goosebumps... ugh! i read a lot of these books in elementary school. unfortunately do not own them anymore and i don't remember much about them. but i do have the limited deluxe edition box set for the show, which is basically a giant book of shadows and it's my favorite thing ever. one of my favorite moments was in season 5; the siren episode when piper says "kiss this bitch!" and tries to blow up the siren but baby wyatt decides to cover her in flowers instead. đ

I'm so glad you did this video! The only book I have on my bookshelf that is unrated by me is Trickery Treat (as I have not read it since starting my channel). I checked after watching this and good reads do have these books (for some reason I thought they didn't). Either way I 100% remember these books and think I read about 5 or 6 of them years prior to stating booktube. If you end up wanting to do a re read I'd love to buddy read them with you. I don't think id do them all at once - maybe 1 or 2 a month. But would love to join you if/when you do your re read so please let me know. I loved charmed. I think itâs my favourite of all time and it needs the original theme!! I never knew there were books. I knew there were comics set after though. Season 6 was always my favourite (because of Chris and it was the first one I watched đ)

I was having dinner with my parents in Romania and we were sitting at a table in the garden of a restaurant. During the whole meal, I stared at the red-haired woman who was having dinner at the table in front of ours, thinking (knowing?) she was Paige from Charmed. When we finished eating, my mom went to ask her if I could have an autograph but the woman said she wasn't her in a cold tone. Honestly, I'm pretty sure it was her but I understand why she brushed us off. It was so rude of me to stare at her, that must've felt horrible, I wish I could apologize lol.

First: OMG, I LOVED Charmed! I started watching them in elementary school and my friends and I all were one of the sisters. I haven't read Rose's memoir but I really want to! I feel so bad for her that she was praying for a cancellation but it kept going on and on. Agree though, the first 4 seasons are the show's prime. I loved a few episodes from 5-8, and the series finale was amazing, but yeah, you've got it pretty much right.

I remember buying them in the 'Free Record Shop', a Dutch shop that was mostly cd's and dvd's, and being so excited when a new one came out. I think my collection is now complete, but seeing your video, I think they didn't translate them all in Dutch. There are 6 'Classics', the ones with Prue in them. And I don't think I have the last one you showed, with the Halloween vibe. So there may be a few missing. Pretty sure I have all the Dutch ones though. Also, my favorite episode is in season 2, Chick Flick. I'm a scaredy cat when it comes to horror/slasher etc. films, but this episode was so much fun and I really enjoyed it. So much so, that it's the only title I can remember from the whole series! O, and Piper/Leo were probably the first people I shipped. Although I didn't really realize it then.

This makes me nostalgic. Charmed was a show we watched as a family and I remember loving the sisters and loving having something we did together as a family.
I remember loving Prue in the first few seasons and Piper the most in following seasons but because I am the third sister irl I had to be phoebe and phoebe and I were so different that I was actually upset about this đ.
One of the blurbs mentioned Andy - wasn't that Prue's police boyfriend? I might be remembering wrong as i haven't seen a show in years and years. I also haven't read the books but they sound like worth a read if they are companions to the show.
The latter seasons got really convoluted and I got so confused so I don't remember the ending as I didn't get the whole thing with the baby - Wyatt was it?
There was Wyatt and Chris, the Chris stuff was a bit convoluted, I agree. And yep Andy was the detective in season 1 who was Prue's sweetheart.
I loved the show so much I have most of the DVDs and still watch it occasionally and I had some of the action figures that existed lol

the way this intro gave me goosebumps... ugh! i read a lot of these books in elementary school. unfortunately do not own them anymore and i don't remember much about them. but i do have the limited deluxe edition box set for the show, which is basically a giant book of shadows and it's my favorite thing ever.
one of my favorite moments was in season 5; the siren episode when piper says "kiss this bitch!" and tries to blow up the siren but baby wyatt decides to cover her in flowers instead. đ

I think my favorite episode of Charmed was either when I think it was Piper turned into a banshee or the episode where Phoebe turned into a mermaid.

Either way I 100% remember these books and think I read about 5 or 6 of them years prior to stating booktube. If you end up wanting to do a re read I'd love to buddy read them with you. I couldn't even get into talking too deeply about charmed because I'd honestly never stop. I was born the same year charmed came out, my parents watched it every single week when I was growing up. Like I would NOT be the person I am today if it wasn't for charmed! I desperately want to read all of the books now. I have one of them somewhere that my mom found in a box of her books that she must have gotten in like the early 2000s but thats the only one I own! I'm now soo desperate to go to all the second hand shops in the city and look for the rest!

I loved charmed. I think itâs my favourite of all time and it needs the original theme!! I never knew there were books. I knew there were comics set after though. Season 6 was always my favourite (because of Chris and it was the first one I watched đ)

I was having dinner with my parents in Romania and we were sitting at a table in the garden of a restaurant. During the whole meal, I stared at the red-haired woman who was having dinner at the table in front of ours, thinking (knowing?) she was Paige from Charmed. When we finished eating, my mom went to ask her if I could have an autograph but the woman said she wasn't her in a cold tone. Honestly, I'm pretty sure it was her but I understand why she brushed us off. It was so rude of me to stare at her, that must've felt horrible, I wish I could apologize lol.

First: OMG, I LOVED Charmed! I started watching them in elementary school and my friends and I all were one of the sisters. I was Phoebe (because Cole lol)
Second: Yes, Piper and Leo are relationship goals and Piper is now my all-time fav sister! (I liked the younger Phoebe a lot more, I feel like they kind of ruined her later. She became kind of a cliche ... still love her though (because of Cole? lol)
Third: I ahve ALL the DVDs! I bought them as a kid and spend ALL my money on them. Looking back it was a small fortune but sooo worth it!

My favorite sister is pure I was sad when shannon Doherty left the show but now I'm glad because by season 5 the show became to skimpy and campy I hate the last four seasons of charmed but I did enjoy the finale plus the cast was treated horribly behind the scenes don't know if you have read rose McGowan memoir
I haven't read Rose's memoir but I really want to! I feel so bad for her that she was praying for a cancellation but it kept going on and on. Agree though, the first 4 seasons are the show's prime. I loved a few episodes from 5-8, and the series finale was amazing, but yeah, you've got it pretty much right.

Agreed, Chick Flick is one of my favourite episodes! I actually appeared in the Charmed Magazine saying how it's one of my favourite episodes haha. Also Sense and Sense Ability is another great episode that I still quote to this day haha
