    #1 was the loudest I've ever heard a crowd be at any event or venue in my life right at 3:43 (the crowd audio was muffled so the commentators could talk over it on TV) as it is for most LSU games, so it's hard to hear or feel the full effect of the decibels. However, if you listen closely to the crowd you can hear the crowd sound jump up because it overrode the compressor and then stays level due to the audio programming. Live in-person it was like standing on a tarmac with jets flying next to you from all 4 corners. I understand other teams/programs will say that their stadiums or crowds are louder... they are wrong, there is no doubt in my mind that Tiger Stadium is the best atmosphere in college sports and that crowd shook the stadium again that day. The spine-chilling roar that happened when Leonard literally ran with that Auburn defender on his back is embedded in my memory forever. And it is always the run I think of when anyone mentions the Leonard Fournette era at LSU. Amazing list!!

      sounds crazy im in my freshman year at LSU and unfortunately didnt get out to any football games this year because of covid but i cant wait to see a game at tiger stadium

    • @werbadgamers9521
      @werbadgamers9521 Před 3 lety

      @@bigploppa154 Best of luck with your studies and Tiger Stadium is constantly considered one of the top venues in the world year in and year out so it's kind of a humbling experience when you stroll into the student section for a game.
      My best advice is to just take a second to soak it in, think of the rich history, and gaze out and around when we score a TD or make a huge play on offense or when the defense gets a sack, big hit, or INT (the place just erupts with deafening noise and high fives all around). Just take a second to peer out and realize you wouldn't be getting that experience anywhere else in the world at the moment, it's hard not to crack a smile. Many other schools and stadiums claim to do it better, but there is nothing like Saturday in Death Valley and the tremendous Lousiana Pride that comes with the traditions. Feels like being a part of something so amazing and bigger than we are.
      Pull out your phone and record the crowd doing the T-I-G-E-R-S (TIGERS Chant!) so that you'll have it for memories. And speaking of chants, try to learn as many of the home cheers as you can, it makes the game experience so much more intense.

    Unstoppable until he played Alabama. In 2 games, he had 36 carries for just 66 yards and 1 garbage time TD. He didn't go over 40 yards in either game. In one of them, he had just 11 yards on 15 carries before an 18 yard run on their final drive of the game.

      That Auburn team was ranked and touted very highly, they just fell off the rails as the season went on. However, it's more so that Leonard is at times a flash player, so when teams lag off and make mistakes is when he capitalizes every time as most college greats do. He made plays when they were to be made. The Les Miles offense did him no justice, most of the teams we played knew exactly what plays we were going to run and still could not stop Fournette. He assuredly struggled in games where the focus was to completely stop him. Alabama had to put 8-10 players in the box, just to stop him from breaking off huge runs. We could not pass at all to help keep defenses honest. And when you know a team is going to run on 1st and 2nd down every time it's not hard to stack defenders.
      He had nice runs against top SEC schools each year. They just weren't the most iconic runs of his college career obviously. You act like LSU wasn't one of the top SEC schools. The only teams above us were Bama and maybe Georgia from the East (record-wise). Leonard was our entire offense. Alabama was the only team to focus solely on putting everyone in the box to slow him down and they had the linebackers and safeties to try to match his athleticism with their gameplan.
      I know those are the games that everyone tries to pinpoint as if Leonard was completely shut down, he was, but imagine if Alabama doesn't stack the box and Leonard breaks a tackle and then trucks one of Bama's safeties, we could be talking about a completely different turnout. He has the ability to take it to the house each play with the right seam.
