    You can add this sensor on the Duramax filter head bleeder screw port, with an adapter fitting.

      @@scaleytail Buy an adapter where the bleed scew is located on the filter head. The adapter and pressure sensor will take place of the bleed screw. Buy the Edge or equivalent pressure sensor for whatever gauge you have to monitor the lift pump pressure.

    Love your videos and I’ve learned so much from watching them. I have a 2003 California Cummins I’m looking at getting a tuner for and was looking at the CTS3 evolution. Just wondering what your thoughts were or if there is a better route.
    Thanks in advance!

      Thank you! Edge does a great job with their tuning and they are one of the only companies that offers EO numbers with their tuning if you are located in California.

    Can sum one please help me I put this sensor on my cts3 and set it all like you did the 0-100psi and it keeps popping up with 80.64 psig... on the read out

  • @XCXFlashBang
    @XCXFlashBang Před 3 lety +1

    Does the edge cts3 read rail pressure actual and desired correctly from the trucks sensors for a 2003 5.9 cr? Or do I need to add the edge EAS rail pressure sensor? I already have the egt EAS starter kit. All your videos are great and really informative.

    • @thoroughbreddiesel
      @thoroughbreddiesel  Před 3 lety

      Each truck as a different as to what it will read but the CTS3 wont read rail pressure as of yet. They actually do not offer a rail pressure sensor, they only offer this low pressure fuel sensor for lift pumps and boost pressure.

      Just got my evolution cts3 and it does read fuel rail pressure. works great but noticed it doesn't run lift pump pressure. Thanks for the video wade.

    Have not had a chance to watch he entire video yet, but have a question while it is on my mind. I have a 2016 LML and am looking at putting an airdog on my truck and deleting the factory fuel filter with a delete kit. I saw one that had a port in it for a fuel pressure sensor. Will the edge sensor fit into one of those?

  • @cesarlaso356
    @cesarlaso356 Před 4 lety

    Can this sensor be used as an indicator of when it's time to change filters over just changing them at recommend interval?

    • @thoroughbreddiesel
      @thoroughbreddiesel  Před 4 lety

      No it wont be an indicator for that.

    • @2015_Rubicnn
      @2015_Rubicnn Před rokem

      In a round about way, yes. It could show low pressure from either an actual pump issue or filters being plugged up.

    So if I already have an add on EGT sensor in my system, do I still need part # 98605 or am I already setup with the enough space for 2 more add on devices?

    • @thoroughbreddiesel
      @thoroughbreddiesel  Před 2 lety

      When you are using any sensor that requires 5 volt reference (as the pressure sensor here does), you will need the 98605 kit.

    Where’s the best place to install a pressure sensor on a 2013-2018 Cummins with the stock lift pump?

    • @thoroughbreddiesel
      @thoroughbreddiesel  Před rokem +1

      There really isn't a good place with the stock pump unfortunately. You would need to fabricate something that would work with the stock supply line from filter, or upgrade to aftermarket lift pump.

    Isn’t the pressure supposed to be between 50-60 psi?

    • @thoroughbreddiesel
      @thoroughbreddiesel  Před 3 lety +1

      Common rail 5.9L with an external lift pump runs anywhere between 12-20 psi.

  • @Eric2300jeep
    @Eric2300jeep Před 3 lety +4

    I'd really like this for my truck but, for $150 for the sensor and $180 for the EAS connector, I'm gonna pass and go with a traditional, mechanical gauge lol.

    • @stephensimpson2252
      @stephensimpson2252 Před 3 lety +2

      You can buy the pressure tranducers on amazon for like 20 dollars and solder the connector to the harness that they include. They're gouging hard on their sensors... No way it costs that much for a sensor and a couple of plugs with a few feet of wire

    • @j.c.316
