Making a basket from corn husks

- The corn plants are ripening here and i've been finding loads of cobs left over after the harvest. I wanted to store some for winter but also to experiment with the corn husk as a weaving material.
The first method I tried didn't work out, but I was really pleased with the basket I made in the end. The corn husk is nice to work with and I hope I can collect more in the future!
I also made some stew with the last tomatoes and peppers I grew this year, and a Shaggy Ink Cap mushroom, one of the 'fool proof four' wild mushrooms. (I'm still alive 😆)
I also spotted many other fungi growing at the moment, it seems a really good year for them.
It's getting cold now and the days are darker, so I'm thinking more about cosy things and keeping warm.
Thank you so much for watching and for your support! I really am grateful and love to hear what you think! 💫

Think I might try this thanks ❤
It’s such a joy to find your channel!
Beautifully filmed. Great shots and exposure. Love the unsaturated look.
Haha thank you! Hopefully i'll get the colours looking their best with some practice! 😆
I genuinely thought that the desaturated look has it's merits. I wasn't being facetious.@@Nelferch
😮😊👍
Amazing - is that a traditional use for corn husks?
I'm not sure! I imagine they would have been used for something in traditional cultures reliant on maize as they would have had so much left over after harvest. This was just my experiment 😊
WHAT kind of lil pressure cooker is that? 1. Is it stainless steel + 2. Can I get in the US? I don’t like aluminum pots, especially cooking with vinegar, 🍅🍅🍅 or 🍋🍋! Thank you
It’s a Hawkins stainless steel pressure cooker, they are the typical pressure cooker used in India I think, the design is a bit different to most US or UK pressure cookers, but I do like it! Some are aluminium but you can get stainless steel ones 😊
