Budget kits sound great from all the major manufacturers now. Put some quality heads on when you can swing it and they're even better. Nice that drummers don't have to be rich to have something quite nice now. These look great too.
Love this kit. I just got my Stagestar 2 weeks a go. Its amazing. Excellent build quality! Keep up the videos. I would like to see more. Like how to service the pedal chain, rusty nut heads in the drums etc.
They're are budget cymals so nothing special to expect. On the other hand, they seem to sound quite smooth compared to other companies entry level cymbals. I can see this kit used as a house kit for jam sessions, just put on some EC2s or Pinstripes and you're good to go.
No, the Imperialstars have been upgraded, so they're more like a mid-level kit now, and this is the entry level. The new Imperialstars are pretty sick actually.
@@jiboo68506 months later, i now know what im doing, and basically the reso heads were tuned too tight (every tuning tutorial i saw said to keep the reso heads tabletop tight)

nice kit but I like the first generation stagestar with the 18X14 bass drum. Drumthrone is kinda cool though.
