I had a teacher in highschool and you remind me exactly of him. COVID shut my senior year in 2020 so my year never got to leave school the right way. This teacher always respected me and believed in me and pushed me. I did it but he never got to see it. Well that was interesting RP from Skylar D. I wouldn't say it was fail RP but he definitely went to far, and no-one is going to steal a train to escape, they're on tracks ffs.

i dont think he stole it i just think the train script was just being weird and the AI is what made the train take off from the scene, but yeah his rp was definitely borderline childish, hopefully he can figure out the vibe of rp on ocrp before he gets in trouble

Hey Jeff, firstly I want to say very good video, but I have some suggestions (if possible) for the horn, if you need/want a louder one I suggest searching for a K3LA, or if your into retro rolling stock, a RS3L. I'm not sure if you can change the horn but some suggestions. Also, BELLS, bells are good not only for approaching crossings, but warning for pedestrians near the tracks, examples are the Graham White E-Bell, or EMD Steel Bell.
i love how basically 8 minutes into the stream and we already have 1 fatality involving the train

So fun fact, in certain places a train can only block a grade crossing for a set amount of time red signal or not
A lot of times crews have to split the train.
I was a conductor for a while and that was always my nightmare ,but if your on the tracks your actually trespassing the RR allows Access for you to cross. I miss ocrp it's come a long way since i was first their. when you leave the train we take the drive handle so it cannot be driven...lock your train.

The train engineer who runs the train sits on the right side. The conductor who is in charge of the train and paperwork sits on the left. And freight trains usually top out at 60 mph.

On most railroad crossings (in America) there is a phone number for the railroad service. I know the guy wasn’t on a crossing but, it would be cool if you add a phone number to call the train conductors in case of emergencies.
Those numbers don’t call the crew it calls the railroad dispatcher office
Either way calling that number will get the train stopped (hopefully) in time.

2 miles minimum to stop that train. I've seen 250 coal car, 6 engine trains. Conway yards, PA.
Question for you Jeff. I know this is in beta and the script is in it's infancy, but are there any plans to add pick-ups/drop offs for RP purposes? Excellent video, it'll be interesting to see how this will add to RP incidents and callouts!

Around my parts you have an accomplesss come get you for a switch in a sanctioned van. Trains often block roads here but get charged per minute from what i've heard.
Did you know, that in the event of an accident involving a Union Pacific train and anything else, any responding police officers that demand to see any of the conductor or engineer's information is actually out-ranked by the conductor and engineer. Since they work for a federal transportation bureau, they have the same status as U.S. Marshalls, and do not have to comply to anything until a Union Pacific representative arrives at the scene to take over.
You have to block a crossing and lead the cops up and down a mile long train just to tell them "Oh! I forgot my vests in the cab" and lead them back to the front again. 😂😂😂

Definitely need to do more train RP with expansion. Be cool if the developers could mod expand the train like you guys do with the vehicles. Switch tracks, drop freight cars, etc.

Going through the metro area like over near the Grove area would be 25 to 30 mph. In rural areas it would be 40 to 60 with straight track and 30 to 50 if it's curvy. Mountainous areas it would be 30 to 40. If there is an incident you stop as soon as you can, dosen't matter if you block crossings. The only reason to use top speed is for runaway rp.

Fun fact after a vehicle impact train operators get 3 paid days off even if there’s nobody in the vehicle because it’s a traumatic event and it’s 2 horns coming up to the crossing. When a train crosses a cross they do a long horn through the crossing the length of the engine. Also a train traveling at 55 mph a mile long where you slam the brakes is where the rear of the train will stop a mile long train takes a mile to stop. Just figured I’d share the info pretty interesting stuff most train operators don’t realize they have 3 days off for trauma after a collision.
For 1 it depends on how meny trailer u have on the back of the train because 2 metres per second

I heard you saying the FAA (aviation) and not the FRA (railroad) and I know that in about every locomotive, the engineer is always on the right side of the locomotive and not on the left side (unless GTA wants to be like Network Rail in the UK, where they drive on the left)

Jeff, this definitely needs a rp of George, boatboy and Lance jumping in a stopped train and hijacking it. Only to find out that you guys aren't able to stop the train, since non of you knows how. Calling 911 and asking for help to stop the train after admitting to stealing the train would be funny as F. I can't imagine the chaos that would ensue. The entire Police department trying to stop a train.
