One lucky man, I’m sure he has worked hard to acquire those cars. Great episode.
Thank you for watching! It was so cool to have them next to each other! Steve is a great guy!
I have a Chalenger and Jeep Glad. and worked 50 years. Its good some people realise work is better than handouts or stealing.
awesome collection !
Great vid, great cars. Thank you!
Thanks for watching! Yes… the cars are incredible!
On the road runner the Valve covers are not stock
You are correct, and not stock on the super bee ! also the hood on the super bee is a 68 bulge hood .
@@kevinhemken748 that was the stock hood for a 69 Super Bee. The Ramcharger hood was an option.
Never seen a 69 bee with that hood , seen them flat and with the dual hood scoops
Love the Bee. The color is stunning. Beautiful classic as well. Both cars are just AUTOMOTIVE ARTISTRY !!
MOPAR OR NO CAR !!
That Roadrunner is just a pretty damn car!
Sure is… ride along was fun!!
Absolutely stunning and so gorgeous. It sounds so good. What a beautiful classic.
MOPAR OR NO CAR !!
Gems! So cool to film them both!
So he said the Road Runner was completely stock then says he added disc brakes etc which is great but the car is no longer box stock !
Two works of art that are beautiful and sound fantastic!
I agree. Thanks for watching!
I owned a 69 RR back in the day. Was my daily driver for a few years. Kept it for about 12 years. Sold it in the mid late 80s.
That guy right there knows power baby!!!
I remember that air cleaner element in the early 70's was $15, had a 69 Super Bee with the Ram Charger hood.
17:05 Those vinyl steering wheel covers were extremely popular in the 1970s.
My RR was green. Never seen a 2 tone with a white top. Don't like it. Looks like a taxi.
"Meep! Meep!"
You are correct. I don’t know why “Beep Beep” was so popularized. If they watched the cartoon, roadrunner said “Meep Meep”.
Pretty sure that RR didn't come from the factory with those valve covers. Correct me if I am wrong.
My uncle had a GTX in that black and white colorway. Gorgeous.
Great color combo!
They are nice cars. Have been a passenger in both of them.
This was such a fun episode to film!
Nice cars !!!
Not a bad collection!
69 Super Bee's with a 440 4 barrel were not available in 69 * however, you could get a 440 six pack with lift off hood with 4 hood pins at each corner , made in fiberglass only * I noticed, this car had the Rally dash, better known as the charger dash that came in Dodge Charger that year * it also had the sport roof with no center post *
I fw the super bee more
8:00 All bench seats folded at an angle like that on 2 door cars.
That is gorgeous! What a pair of beasts! Did Gene get up on a ladder for that shot of the Super Bee coming out of the garage?
I was wondering the same thing… no ladder but somehow he got a wicked cool angle!
Ha ha ha! No ladder, just a long selfie stick. I edited the part out where you could see my shadow on the street as he pulled up next to the Road Runner.
They were not competitors. LOL. Both from Chrysler. At least in the 80s no one cared. I've owned Dodge and Plymouth and I'd always been happy to own either!
Nothing sounds like a 383.
Two very great cars
Very cool
GTX for me
Although I always wanted a Roadrunner coupe/hardtop, I have a 69 Roadrunner convertible. 🙏😎👍
I had a 69 Roadrunner yellow with black vinyl top ,same engine.
Such a great color combo!
I had a 69 RR in a green metallic. A Neighbor 3 doors up had a 70 RR in yellow with a black vinyl top and flat black hood stripe in the middle.
Mine had bucket seats.
I had about 120 or 130k miles when I sold mine and could still burn rubber for 10 feet just by stomping it.
The Super Bee is 4” longer than the Road Runner and that steering wheel looks like it’s from a 70 Bee. The 69 Bee was black with the dodge emblem in the middle. I outta know I owned a 69 Bee 440/6pack /4 speed /4:10 Dana for years at 18 years old.
They were rated at 335hp and about 425ft lbs Tq.
I love the CORONET R/T 1968 and I love 1965 GTO OR 1969 GTO JUDGES
A guy I knew had a Beige 70 Torino 429 Cobra Jet and when the gears changed it would bark the tires, his brother had a Purple Super Bee with Pistol grip 4 speed. I had a yellow and black 69 Chevelle SS 396 with a Turbo 400. Another friend of mine had a beige 69 SuperBee with a 383 magnum with torqueflight And another friend had a 66 Chevelle SS with a 427 solid lifters with a Muncie behind it. And another guy had a 70 Chevelle LS6 with a 427 instead of the 454. in 1975 I was 15.
What an amazing group of friends and cars!
@@CarsShopsAndCollections Another friend had a 69 Z28 (The only Real Camaro) silver and black with a 427, another 16 year old had a Camaro with a 427. one more had a 69 Firebird black vinyl top, black interior, 350 2 barrel. He turned the breather over to suck more wind. And one last to tell you about a Country boy who had soft hands (Hold a oppussum by the tail and bring him in the house) and a beautiful girlfriend. Were walking down a hot country rd black top. He pulls up with a Maroon 74 Nova SS (The ones with the Big letters and trunk lift) with black interior 350 3 speed. And my friend tells him show him what it will do. I always like 283, 327's (High revving) I didnt like 350's when they first came out. He tacked up the Nova and pulled one wheel off the ground Sweet.I think that was 1974.
@@CarsShopsAndCollections My Dad rebuilt a TorqeFlight in the back yard for a guy with a 68-69 RoadRunner torqoise blue, he set up passing gear at 95MPH. My Dad was hard on cars he had a Polara and he ran it up to 105 in second gear. He had a 69 Buick 225 455 ci. He was doing 130 going down 75 I think I was 10. One day going down 75 we were in the passing lane and a guy in a Pontiac came up behind us with his flashers on so he moved over let him by (Pontiac ) got back in the passing lane and a few seconds later a Ga state trooper was flashing his lights to get out of the way 1970
Car chase on the 75… wild times!
I got a 69 bee , r6 red with shaker hood scoops with a white band and black interier and 383, had it sence 1985,
I’m jealous!
Ill speak more about this Road Runner, when my phone is charged up 😊
One more missing? The dodge Coronet to go with the roadrunner and the superbee
Yes! We did an episode on a pretty cool Coronet!

I used to own a 69 Road Runner. But now I'm just poor and sad.
Keep Chip Foose away from these "Hot-Rods".
He'll turn them into circus vehicles.
Dobre noche.
Ceskoslovenska.
Both steering wheels aren’t original. The steering inside the bee is 60’s Mustang style
He has the original in a box in the garage, I believe we showed it at one point in the episode. Thanks for watching!
@@CarsShopsAndCollections yes, but the other one (wood) wasn’t original either.
my 71 way prettier i topped it out at 150mph grill had rr head air grabber spoiler etc horn cost me 2000 to buy in 73
Dim valve covers are not original this man just bought that car he don't know Mopar and I never heard of them giving a roadrunner a painted top someone lied to this guy
5:00 No..they were looking for the younger guys. Cut the Political Correct BS....they were not even thinking about women when they built this car.
Mopar
From a mopar guy under the hood is not original.
