Just looking for normal... and by that I mean to have what our parents had. You didn't need a brain surgeons salary to buy an average home... and by that I mean normal middle-class family 3 bedroom 2 bathroom should cost around $250k. We're totally f'd, as a nation... I just checked home prices in Folsom. You're looking at about a $4k + mortgage on a conventional loan... that's batsh*t crazy!
We are in the process of considering relocating to Folsom but have concerns moving 4 kids without being familiar with the area. Would love to get some input on all the neighbors.

Thanks for watching right now it looks like everything in the Folsom/Russell Ranch Area will go to Mangini Elementary until any future elementary schools get built. There will be a Folsom Ranch Middle and High School being built as well.

I believe until the new one gets built, High Schoolers are going to Vista Del Lago.
I have a potential job offer in Folsom as a doctor. I’m single and alone, nervous about living in a sleepy suburb but potentially excited about making money and saving up. I want a place with ethnic and cultural diversity and am afraid Folsom will not offer much.

Doc, you will find Folsom is extremely attractive as a single guy. There are so many divorced women here, and the women here are, generally, pretty hot compared to other communities. There's a lot to do, lots of clubs and other things, depending on your interests.
