So cool to see the creative process taking place between Nile Rogers and Steve Vai. What a great collab!
It’s hard to believe how such incredible history was improvised just off the rip like that. True talent!
This has got to be one of the best dive bombs on guitar I have ever seen. Legendary musicians. Legendary soundtrack. Legendary game.
I wonder if Marty was sitting there as they vibed just thinking, "...holy shit. I'm witnessing a legend."
Takes 1 to know 1. Marty is certainly 1 of those
18:00 gives me goosebumps every time
History being made right here. You can see the huge smile on everyone’s face even on the first take. Must’ve been a magical moment. Also cool to see one of the best guitarists learn something even if it is super fast haha.
Did not know Steve did this theme. Now with Halo infinite out, I'm just listening to this in the background as I play.
9:11 history made
The absolute greatest guitar riff intro in video game music ever
Can I get a big "fuck you, 343!!" Lol
The sheer creative talent in this video is truly something to behold. You just don't get this kind of stuff anymore.
9:11 I'm feelin like a kid again.
26:57 Nile, pretty much being the rest of us when we go see Steve play out.
The smile at 9:17 says it all. They knew they hit gold.
Marty smiling in the back knowing history is being made
Marty: All right gentlemen...we got Steve booked for the day.
5 minutes later......
Steve: I'm just about done here....
I know, right?!
I was cold and had a jacket on when i turned the video on. Half way through and I am hot i gotta take my jacket off lmao
Steve was just mucking about at first to get the vibe, and he came up with one of the most iconic guitar intro's of all time for video game music. Love it!
The greatest guitar divebomb in history.
Marty just deleted all videos on his channel... Please never let this one go down !!!!!
Thank you. My wife and I wach this video all the time because watching steve vai and nile rodgers make a masterpiece is itself a masterpiece.
I'm the wife. ❤️
Awesome! I wish I could get my girlfriend into this kinda music.
Truer words have never been said
@@Gabe-eu6sk It's actually funny, We both grew up loving Halo, and she specifically fell in love with the music in Halo 2. One time she mentioned how much she LOOOOVED the guitar sections of the theme. I mentioned something like 'oh you know they got Steve Vai for that, and his friend Nile Rodgers got him in on it'
and she was like "who?"
after a long tirade about who Steve Via is...
Showed her the making of i.e. this video - and that was it. It gained a whole new meaning to her and another reason to love it more.
@@DMTastronaut did you have to explain Nile rodgers as well?
This is the greatest half hour of music ever. Of all time. Men at work producing absolute greatness.
