In story and lore, lynx in sf3 was stronger than he was in sf2. Gameplay mechanics do not matter tbh. In the void speaker adventure lynx confirms thay shadow demons are stronger now and arent like children scattered across universes and that the ancients cant hurt them now.
Well the Descendant is said to have already surpassed Shadow. And if you say prime Shadow, Stranger(the true evil half of the Descendant) is already stronger than "prime" Shadow. Lynx is basically roadkill compared to the Descendant.
