Last year, I rode the Turismo Velocer from Vladivostok, Russia, via Eastern Europe to Varese, Italy, covering about 25,000 km for four months. For the first time in the history of MV Agusta, the bikes they exported returned by land. The durability of the MV Agusta may be lower than BMW or Japanese bikes, but I don't think there will be a problem if you ride it for less than 30,000 km in a short period of time. Trust me there are no bad bikes these days.

My dad has the '15 version of the Turismo Veloce and it's pretty much 95% the same bike. I can't even count how many head turns this bike causes! It has great mileage and it's so comfortable from a second passenger. Yes it got some 'character' but with 50k km's it didn't cause any big headache. I'll say from experience is kinda an unicorn. My dad want's to sell the bike for something different but still exotic and unique but is very hard to find something like the TV or even better. Yes it's pricey from the showroom floor but it's so worth it: sound, style, comfortable, fun, nimble and unique. Great video and cheers!

Great review, shame you did not have a version with the cases, I heard they are the especially designed cases to not portrude more than your handlebars so they are great for filtering in traffic as well.
Also its funny to see how taste differs on sound. I have the Superveloce 800, so I guess there might be some difference because of the different tune and exhaust but I think it sounds amazing. Granted not in neutral standing still, it sounds like something is broken and there is too much friction. But under load, accelerating and shifting up with the QS? Sounds heavenly to me.

I suppose for most italian bike owners you are probably going to be either a ducati or an mv owner, seldom both (of course these days Aprilia is not really a consideration at the southern tip of africa, nor is moto guzzi any more). I'm a ducati owner (two of them), so it's not as if I was going to rush out and buy an mv, but your videos are so entertaining I watched the whole thing anyway.
Not quite in the league of the fort9 commenters who say "I've never owned a bike but your videos are amazing" but still pretty damn good :)
I had to look up the weight - that was a real surprise. According to MCN it weighs the same as my 1260 multi (210kg) - for an 800, that's pretty heavy. No wonder you didn't find the 110 hp very exciting. 82Nm is good for an 800, but the weight will handicap that as well.

Even has electronic suspension. Trophy has electronic adj. windscreen. 3 ride mode 4 rider mode adj. Why are they calling this a Sport Tourer when it doesn't has an option for luggage? Heck even a Ninja 1000sx has the option for bags. I think it is marketing to the wrong crowd. There is nothing touring about it except for upright seating and....... I can't think of anything else.

Nepals customs and other tax gives it a 270% mark up, but despite the mark ups there are a lot of luxuary bikes/ high capacity bikes as well as cars.

I love MV as a brand, I recently transitioned from my F3 RC (BIG MISTAKE) to an ZX6R 2024 (nice bike but not an MV).
Only reason for this was that even though I had a special edition bike, none of the UK dealers seemed to interested in offering a good P/X value against the brand new F3RR (my next bike once I get bored of the ZX6R).
There is no major concerns with it's reliability unlike some would say, I rode it many miles and had zero issues - many long trips.
Only thing was holding me back from riding it more, British weather aside - was devaluing it, sadly that plays into your mind when you own an MV - If I ride it too much, the value will be almost nothing.
Resale on these is difficult, objectively you would need to know this is a bike you will keep for a long time.

Overpriced cluncky machinery covered in nice red plastic to detract from the reality. The dashboard and switchgear are rubbish if not intuitive and on a tourer, one needs a bigger tft screen for ckear information on all weathers. On the one hand, if you compare it to the tracer 9 GT, non +, both displays are pretty bad.
Additionally, imo, besides the aesthetics, which are amazing, the MV is pointless at this price. Costs almost as much as an S1000XR. Depreciation is insane.

Why is MV Augusta not paying you to make their commercials. With a silver like yours, you should be in advertising sir.

The front looks like a bike from 2004.
Which I find very strange for an MV, all their other bikes are very futuristic, this one always looked weird to me. (from the front)

Tiger and tracer has no souls. Both are long and heavy which is reasonable for touring purposes.
But if are not a guy at your 50s and you want a good looking bike to go touring, yeah good luck with tracer and tiger

Apparently your ccomment was deleted while I was writing my answer but to answer the question. KTM originally bought 25.1% in November 2022 and added another 25% this month. That said KTM has no intentions of changing MV Agusta's motorcycle and will help expand the company by giving them access to their resource suppliers and selling MVs through certain KTM dealers to get a bigger dealer network making it easier for potential and existing clients to get their hands on a new bike, parts or certified mechanics. For now their deal only benefits MV Agusta because they can sell more motorcycles easier without having to change anything themselves

@@robinv2758 I suspect we will see higher prices or lower quality unfortunately. But the dealer/support network is a big deal. Ideally they’d sell extended warranties too. I deleted my comment when I got the section of the video where he answered when MV was purchased. Thank god it wasn’t by some Chinese company. example for example and R.E. Although the Indian made KTM’s are concerning to me. Mv would never do that but KTM and bmw both have.
Better than China I suppose. I’m at the point I want some options from mv and Ducati that are still made like tanks. Metal components everywhere. Idc if it’s heavier. There’s a market for that pure analog and mechanical metal masterpiece. I adore the more modern 90s to present Ducati…but a couple Ducatis in particular, one older and one a retro revival situation, have made me really thirst for that. I mean big beefy frames and even the windshield cowl and mirror stalks are all made of the same painted body color aluminum. I was going to buy either an F3 800, a Brutale 800 RC, or a Super Veloce 800…but when I saw this out of Ducati’s recently i really fell for them and can’t help but worry it may be a point in my life where I will look back in the future and wonder why I bought a corvette or Ferrari 360 etc instead of a SL gullwing or GT40 or GT or bmw 504 or bmw z8, or Carrera GT even …any of those cars that not just skyrocket in value but people start to realize how special they were and you wish you’d bought one instead of a 911 for same price.

Omg, influencers, please, stop telling this BS about gyroscopic effect that keeping bike upright.
The impact of wheels in overall motorcycle stability is less than 5-10%. MotoGP fight this cause they are chasing every bit of performance.
But suspension trail and rake are the parameters that affects TRUE motorcycle stability, and what is really keeping it upright.
Please, learn yourself, before teaching and explaining with the face of an expert.
Because of this, and constant 100k+ channels saying about wheels - these myths about motorcycles are alive.
And understanding proper effect of suspension may be crucial for people to picking the right bike or managing handling expectations.
Same as deep understanding of important points like trail braking and it effect on suspension geometry and turn handling.

As soon as I saw it I thought of the original Multistrada. A few more angles in the main panels but the connection is obvious and just as ugly. It's almost like they took notes from the Italian Motorcycle Handbook written in 2005... 1, have some good ideas. 2 Implement ideas as poorly as possible. It's just shy of £3000 (over 25%) more than the Tracer 9 and still over £700 more than the Tracer 9 GT! At the end it's a hard sell even at equal cost... I doubt I'll see many on the road and those that I do, I won't be thinking that they are special, I'll be thinking that it was a stupid purchase.
