This young man has got to be the best picker I've heard in years. He does such tremendous justice to the traditional styles of Doc Watson, Norman Blake, Clarence White, etc, while keeping the music fresh with the progressive styles of the younger pickers of today. All of that with an absolutely amazing singing voice. Billy Strings is a star that will hopefully shine brightly for many years to come! BRAVO!
Just got into his music since the start of Covid... Totally addicted to bluegrass guitar now. Thank you Billy for opening up a world I never new existed.
Billy oh billy, where have you been the generations of the masters rolled up in one cute little beautiful L Billy! Thank your Mother and Dad for us! You are a waterfall of mountain music! Thank you
Rick Hill?? Would that be the same Rick Hill from Full Steam Eddie?? Anyways, you are so absolutely right. I just found this guy not long ago here on CZcams. I'm in love with this band.
@@hunnybunny4973 Billy strings, yeah I've been listening to him a lot lately. Excellent guitar player and singer. Molly Tuttle as well. Great musicians.
I've been playing for 40 years..can't touch him, not even close. One of the best BG teachers on CZcams-Lessons With Marcel will tell you he can't either.
this guy is the best thing to happen to the bluegrass world in a long long time. hes got that fire. what a joy to pick with too. hes hard to keep up with though, he will leave ya in the dust :p
What can I say about that no words will work Billy I wish I had started earlier than 76 but Covid got me going and now I can flatpick and get so much fun out of it just like you, thank you kid for not being a drug addled egotist, with that kind of talent it’s something for the kids to admire, don’t let them down🏴
It’s a hard and rare thing to keep this traditional music going while also elevating it and being so steeped in the core of the music.. master grass at a young age.. nothin but love Billy
I just love this guy! Saw him outside Philly in Oct. and was blown away. Amazing player and hilarious! Amazing to see the potential for the future of this music.
Mr. Strings if the devil went down to Georgia and you were there i don't believe he would challenge you against your soul because he wouldn't stand a chance. Man you are such a great example of a bluegrass "Master." Love watching you pick dude. Pickens S. Carolina here and such a big fan.

To Noah, Thank you so much for the detailed playlist....learning some of these songs for the first time and all are wonderful. Very helpful. Billy Strings is one of a kind in this or any other generation. So heartfelt and soulful with unlimited playing ability.
Wow, I wish I had been there to watch this live! Billy, if for some reason you ever see this post, I just want you to know I’ve learned more about my own playing by watching this than any other time in my 50 years of playing guitar! THANKS!!!
Last Day At Gettysburg alone makes this the greatest thing on youtube. All the other songs just add to your journey through time with a soothing reminder that this stuff will never die if we pass it on to our kids.
Wow! Just discovered this one. Thanks for sharing. When you mentioned Johnny Winter, I'm thinkin', damn I hope he plays Ain't Nothin' to Me. Awesome. I hope to hear Cheap Tequila someday. Best wishes, young man. I'll be in that crowd one of these days.
Omg I am obsessed, I am calling this hardcore bluegrass! He is too cute too! Litterally the best guitarist I have ever seen! And I am 40 been to alot of shows!
Everyone talks about how well he plays, but never talks about the incredible number of songs he knows. If these were all rock songs playing he same 5 power chords, it'd be blah. But, songs he plays are much more complex.
My son turned me on to Billy about a year ago and there probably hasn't been a day go by that I haven't watched/listened to him since. Big Johnny Winter fan, and Billy plays one of my favorites on a request and just fuc%!#g nails it.
Most great musicians play when they are chilling out at home, the difference is most of them don’t pop on the internet and do a stream of them jamming out.
😊love the no look picking on Nashville blues. 😁 Now he’s playing left handed🙃…simply the most versatile and accomplished player. Never was to much on bluegrass but now I can’t put it down.

Same bud, the kid is insanely talented. The only good thing to come out of lockdown is discovering Billy Strings and bluegrass music.

Two of my favorite performers, Doc Watson and Johnny Winter. Then along comes Billy Strings. You are an excellent guitarist and singer. You da man.
Billy is the greatest. An inspiration. Last Day at Gettysburg, just wow...
My favorite song he does here as great as everything else is. But what an amazing tune that is, talk about timeless
