Even though he was still initially suspicious of Hunter, Gus gave him food and tried to have a heart to heart with him in the illusions. And Gus was carrying King around when King couldn't get up. Gus made sure Hunter was with them when that creepy kid started using his abomination powers. He really tried to keep it together but can't find a bright side this time. He needs a hug!
Btw I love that when gus’s voicesctor went through luberty instead of digitally altering it or replacing him like a lot of other shows would they kept the actors real voice which is great
