I've watched this live version about 1000 times, it's literally the best version
I am up to 998.😎
Probably the most musically accomplished band of them all, at their absolute peak. Awesome.
I was at that concert.
And yes - I'm old.
LOL !!!
Patrick Robinson I wish I was old to be there
I bet that was unforgettable experience
for real?
me too!!!!!
@Beaujangles McJiggle - LOL !!!!
The most talent Band ever, each member has to be in the top 5 all time at playing their instruments or singing.
The GREATEST rock band ever. And it's not even close.
BINGO
Did you ever hear of this band called The Beatles?
@@georgereynolds2276 yeah, best pop band ever with leanings towards rock
@@eatthisvr6 The Beatles were the most inventive band of all time. Led Zeppelin on the other hand was just a Robert Johnson cover band.
Pink Floyd close
Live versions are always better. I saw LZ in 73,75 77 all in Detroit. All 3 times they played it it was different. Page always improvised his solos
Zeppelin is FIRE!! In all ways, studio and live!!! They kill it everytime!!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
I love Page's frantic style. He plays like he's on the edge of chaos or disintegration, like it could all fall apart any time, but he races on faster and faster. It gives the music an edge other bands never had. And, of course, he never does lose it. It's just his way.
That's why he's the Jimma...nobody does/did all the things he did -write-produce and play the hell outta guitar.
Art.
As great as he is, this was not one of my favorite performances by Page. He made many flubs and his timing was off, though I loved his intent and intensity.
@@cablebrain9691 They played two nights that were recorded at MSG one solo version is better than the other, I think this is the lesser of the two.
its called Meth
One of the greatest live solos ever period
No way.
This live solo performance. For sure. Absolutely.
THE greatest
This one live was garbage
Hearing this always reminds me of how lucky I was to be raised with real music. In school, this was the song we all hoped we'd get to dance to at school dances; of course with the right person.
Great dance song indeed 🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸🎸
Welcome to the wonderful magical world that Led Zepplin Fandom is.....you'll never be the same
greatest band there ever was. !!! peak zeppelin, they were on fire in 73-75.
That solo still put me in a trance after hearing this masterpiece every other day for 20+ years now ✌✌
every time I think I'm sick of hearing it and never want to listen/hear again, I am hooked right back as soon as I hear those notes, especially LIVE.Peace.
"since i've been loving you" live AND "in my time of dying" live. LIVE LIVE LIVE
That guitar solo captivated my soul and imagination when i was a kid. I would daydream about playing that guitar solo in front of my high school in the auditorium. I was in jazz band but never got to play with band cuz my grades werent good enough, You had to have a c average and my lazy ass didnt have one. Not for lack of smarts but i just wasnt motivated i guess. KIn my daydream i would be in front of the school just playing that solo and stunning everyone. The solo isnt a technical sweeping shred a thon that dazzles people with finger gymnastics and thats the point. its Jimmy playing with his heart on his sleeve and playin with raw emotion. It has such feeling and it feels like the guitar is telling a beautiful story with many different emotions. He makes every note count. So many players of today sound like they all just graduated from GIT with their masters of guitar theory but have a complete lack of feeling or how to speak with the guitar. Its a rare musician that speak his heart through ones fingers.
The first time I heard this live in New York in 1971 I dropped my joint.
Never worried about something so tragic , seeing Zeppelin always makes me double jointed !!!
Have you did a Zeppelin marathon
@@henrymullins4592 I have been on one since 1975 and expect too finish the moment the good Lord takes me !! And if my wings should fail me Lord please meet me with another pair
@@ellenkrames4507 okay twinkle.
Ellen Krames 70's... literally everyone was on drugs. e v e r y o n e.
1st song in my life i got high to without using any substances.
Me too... Lolz
Agree , also had the same experience with Pink Floyd’s comfortably numb
Alex for me it was Jimmy Hendrix Purple Haze. I’m probably a little older than you.
I believe Robert Plant was a Tolkien fan. The Lord Of The Rings has been described as an acid trip without chemicals.
The great gig in the sky for meeee
They are one of the most diverce rock bands out there. They where absolute Rock God's in their day. And are still influenceal to this day.
Another Led Zeppelin song? Okay, get a printout out of their song list, tape to wall, put blindfold on, throw dart. You cant miss.
Lol. Well said.
Or pick your preference, blues, rock, folk, etc.. they covered
@@cherylbrown3366 yeah, they covered most genres, which is why there is music is timeless.
Amen sir.
Awesome reply!
Considered by many and voted back before the turn of the Century as the greatest song ever. With one of the great rock vocalist, guitar player and drummers ever.
The Rain Song by Led Zeppelin ❤❤❤❤❤
In college, mid 70's, a couple of us went to Boulder to see Andrés Segovia play. It was an amazing concert, unbelievable guitarist. About halfway thru he invited "His friend" to play with him. Nearly everyone fainted when Jimmy Page walked out and they play for over an hour and a half, intricately weaving their sounds together.
The 70s.
Very cool. Not a lot of people remember Andrés Segovia.
Paul Beatham loads of people remember him. He’s all over CZcams.
Stephen Jensen
What kind of stuff did they play? Like they don’t have enough crossover to play for an hour and a half - virtually everything Segovia did was from exact pieces of music. This sounds like bullshit
And then he remembered, oh no...i only thought that happened, i was really standing in the kitchen eating coco puffs from the box staring at the clock, it seemed like an hour but only 2 minutes went by.... that was some good shit in Boulder in the 70's,...
My friends father was there. His son my friend loved Led Zeppelin as did I. His father took us to see Rolling Stones Steele Wheels in 89 I think. I saw Jimmy Page 3 times once very close up. Its always a treat to see him. And Robert together.. In 95. We won a Led Zeppelin Box Set in the parking lots that went for 100 dollars. It was incredible time really. They gave out free hats my wife still has hers lost mine
Led Zeppelin... best band ever!!
Who says so, Jack Black ??
Loved watching you so excited to introduce her to this epic song. Live version is amazing. It’s amazing when we discover some of this amazing musicians from the past. It’s timeless stuff. Best rock band of all time. So happy to see the excitement you had introducing her to it !
Oh yeah, great 👍🏻 pick!! I never listen to the studio version anymore.. lol After hearing & seeing this amazing performance, I just can’t go back! Best version 💯! ✌🏻
Oh can you please react to #SultonsOfSwing “Alchemy Live” (also the best version) And I’ve not gone back to the studio version after discovering it! 🤣✌🏻 Once you have that sort of religious music 🎶 experience, if you will... the other version/ studio aren’t worth hearing lol. New Subbie btw. Ttyl 😎✌🏻
I was there as well- 66 and still listening- from the Beatles to Zeppelin. Doesn’t get any better
The masters of rock and roll led zeppelin know one can match them many tried but failed the master's of rock and roll led zeppelin best band ever
guys, thank you for such a warm reaction to the creativity of this group) I grew up on their riffs, on their music) this is divine) sorry, whatever, I am writing via google translator
Greatest Rock band EVER!
Zeppelin is perfection. I miss the 70's.
Enjoyed this reaction. I especially enjoyed watching your wifes face throughout the song. Very pretty!!
Led Zeppelin is the GREATEST Rock n' Roll band ever!! I remember when I was in high school , in the 70's , this was being played at least 3 or 4 times a day! Miss those days!
So much good music of many genres in the 70’s. It was all around me. I enjoyed it, but took it for granted.
Zeppelin is the s$@t! I saw them in 1977 at MSG! I was13 yrs old! Never forget that show! Watched the movie Song Remains the Same! Over and over again!👏👏👏
This is part of a concert film called "The Song Remains The Same" released in 1975 and recorded over two nights at Madison Square Garden in 1973. That's why you saw the Twin Towers over New York. Watch the whole concert film if you like trippy scenes combined with some of the best Rock & Roll ever. It's worth the time.
I saw them in concert that year at the Tarrent County Convention Center.
Heath Cliff I don’t mean to be that guy but the movie was released in 76 not 75. Jesus Christ I’m an ass
Dude ,I couldn`t tell how many times I saw that film at the midnight movies. Once on acid. Now I have it on Blu-Ray and dig it more than ever. Great music is like fine wine ( like I know shit about fine wine ) it just gets better.
@kenjryker but the movie was filmed in 73 sooooooo
Released in 1976.
I had the good luck to be at this one of these concerts (it was filmed over 3 nights, I was @ one of them). No trippy visuals but plenty of pot smoke, it was a great show.
Being married, you should check out their love song "Thank You". I sing it to my wife.
Watching 4 legends. Bonzo, still considered one of the greatest drummers rock has ever known. Paige, Plant and Jones. What more could you say that has not already been said about them
PAGE, you're welcome.
Your wife is absolutely beautiful !! Good for you ! Take good care of her ! Your a lucky man ! PEACE TO THE WORLD ! ✌️✌️✌️✌️❤️❤️❤️❤️✌️✌️✌️✌️✌️❤️❤️❤️❤️
This was filmed in the 70s fantastic quality
The Best Ever Zeppelin! Dazed and Confused, When the Levee breaks,Ramble On, Kashmir, Immigrant Song, Fool in the Rain, rock and Roll, Over the Hills and far away, Black Dog, Since I’ve been loving you, and the list can go on and on. Lots of Blues Rock. Love the Channel and your reactions.❤️😁
You're song list took the words right out of my mouth. Great selection.....
Achilles last stand also. 😊😊😊
David Ballard named most of my favorites good taste bro
Basically any Led Zep is good to listen, ( Depending of the mood any Led Zep )
Nobody's fault but mine gallows pole
Saw them in 1975 and 77 have seen no one better since! Goat
One of the best bands EVER!!!
These guys were gods who once walked this earth. I’m honored to have been born at a time to be able to grow up with their music. Still mesmerized in my 60’s!
Great reaction guys! Zeppelin is like a Pandora’s box once opened. Every song is brilliant
Consistently rated in the top 10 of rock songs of all time, and for good reason.
I recommend "The Lemon Song" which features incredible bass playing and "All of My Love". These are both Zeppelin songs. All of my Love was written for Robert Plants young son who died suddenly of an illness.
When an ad pops up during jimmy’s solo 😭
RIP solo
Since i've been lovin'you live at Madison Square Garden, rock and roll, the ocean!
Anything at all Live from Madison Square Garden is a can't miss.
Yeah that good.
Yes!!
@@juliemanarin4127 short and sweet reply lol. 🤪
perro sarcastico I start everyday and end every night with “since I’ve been loving you” the live version
Almost 50 years later. And people still love it.
Led Zeppelin released their first album in 1968
They released a total of 8 studio albums
4 live albums
10 compilation albums
2 video games
Today they are #5 in all time record sales selling over 300 million and still going
This is the best band there ever was...especially live! Do The Song Remains The Same/The Rain Song! It is live...and amazing!! You are watching the best guitarist there ever was and is!!
No quarter/song remains the same/rain song. Fav live songs ever!!!!!
Very rare to encounter talented musicians these days.
@@Tommy1977777 no it isn't
Another wonderful couple heading down the Led Zeppelin rabbit hole. Enjoy the journey. Subscribed.
I was at their 1st concert in Boston, they played NY the previous two nights.Their 1st US TOUR-1967,68 maybe. The Boston Tea Party was a temporary club,it was a unused synagogue. It was unbelievable, best concert I've ever .......Speakers, giants stacked three high he climbed them while singing this & jumped
Wow!!!off
It was the Who’s Keith Moon that named the band (they were the Yardbirds) from my hometown in Richmond west of London. I used to hand out flyers for them, as a boy way back then, when they were appearing in local pubs and clubs. It’s always time to get the LED out
Led Zeppelin gives me an eargasm
Great reaction folks ❗.... One I don't think has been mentioned if you want high-power blues and some real good slide guitar is ... In My time of dying... and definitely a live version when Zeppelin are at their very best🤘🏼🇬🇧
You have a beautiful wife! And you are showing her beautiful music! You are a great person! Love you bro!
Led Zeppelin is of those bands that's even greater live. Loved your reactions. Dazed and Confused is an awesome Led Zep song live.
probably the best rock duo ever
One of their later songs, 1975s Kashmir, is probably my favorite Zeppelin tunes. Even Robert Plant lists it as one of his.
There's live versions of "Kashmir" but the one I've come to really enjoy is from 2006 where Robert, Jimmy, John Paul and Jason Bonham, John's son, do it.
At the time it was 26 years after the band stopped touring and 31 years since its release.
You also should check out Heart's cover of this during the Kennedy Center Honors program with the 3 remaining members in the audience.
I'm 22 just this January, yet my one of my favorites! My favorite song live by Led Zeppelin is "Since I've been Loving You" the BBC 1969 Version. Please listen to it!
Enjoy the ride with the most talented group of guys that will rock your freaking world. Try Since I’ve Been Loving You next. It’s my favorite if you can even have a favorite Zeppelin song.
Greatest rock band ever, facts. Enjoy! ❤️🎼🤘😎love music and rock on. Watch them do Kashmir in 2008, much older, still killing it.
Iconic song that will live forever, takes me back to my youth when the film The Song Remains was played in our local cinema all night. Gave us somewhere to go after the Bars chucked us out!
Check out the Wilson Sisters (Heart) doing that song with Jason Bonham on drums.
Great reaction! More great songs by Led Zeppelin include Whole Lotta Love, Kashmir, Dazed and Confused, and Immigrant Song
Plant - long, flowing hair, always held the mic in his left hand while turning his right palm outward, wearing tight (which was in at the time) bell bottom jeans, and platform shoes, wailing away at it.
Jimmy Page was making sweet love to that guitar, my goodness. Still makes me emotional...
Live is far better...it always is! When a group is great, they are always better live! 😎👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏
Led Zeppelin -Black Dog - Kashmir- Fool in the Rain - Going to California - and All of my love.
"Dazed and Confused"...."When The Levee Breaks"...."Ramble On"...To name a few.
I saw Zep 4 times in 1975 & 1977
I am an Old man this is what I grew up on!!! Love! Peace!! Now, listen to guys I knew and Loved, Lynyrd Skynyrd!! ❤️ Hometown Boys, 🤙 Thank You Both!🏄🏼♀️🙏🏻
Proper music..one of the greatest songs of all time..British bands just knew how to to do it naturally in a way that Americans never could!
four symbols on the label and inside sleeve of Led Zeppelin IV, represent (from left to right) Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones, John Bonham and Robert Plant. ... The idea for each member of the band to choose a personal emblem for the cover was Page's.(look on bass drum .)
Loved it when wifey gave her seal of approval with that side look at 8:18!
Still gotta check out one more version of this song. Heart’s version! Done at the Kennedy Center Honors as a tribute to the band with the surviving members in audience. Only band member not there is their drummer John Bonham. His son is there tho, Jason is the drummer performing with Heart on stage! Probably one of the best tributes ever.
Zeppelin: Ramble On, Battle of Evermore, Thank You, When the Levee Breaks... I could go on for some time:-)
I was there also , the last night of Zepplin tour at MSG
filming for T.S.R.T.S. 16 years old then , now 64
Led Zeppelin themed a lot of their music on the Hobbit and Lord of the rings. It relates to the symbols on the fourth album, including the inner portrait inside the album. I recommend you listen to "The Battle of Evermore."
Nothing like Zepplin at their peak.
You are a winner to get hear listen to the band.. Im so proud of you !
I enjoyed watching this with you both. Stairway To Heaven is one of my favorite song. Please listen to Four Sticks by Zeppelin. You're both cute together. Stay happy❤
Great song. Thanks for sharing your reactions.
Listen and watch celebration day..it was a reunion concert about 12yrs ago..friggin incredible..
Welcome to the world of Led Zeppelin. Greatest band on the planet.
Incredible!!!! Can't beat that. !
can you say ... holy shit !!!!!!!!!!!!! unbelivable !!!!!!!!
5 seconds into the solo and you realize that Page is very very very good at what he does...
The wifes eye drop at 4:40 LOL
Watching both of you smile and move to the music I grew up with...
Makes me appreciate the music even more, because it's still touching people the same way it touched me...
Back when I never thought about losing my hair.
The singer is Robert Plant and the white girls in my middle school and in my high school (I'm 60 years old in 2020) just swooned and swooned over him. The lead guitarist is Jimmy Page one of- if not the greatest guitarist of all time-is playing a double-necked Gibson. One neck is a 12 string neck and the other is a standard 6 string neck
I’m a big Zeppelin fan so got to tell you their stuff is like an iceberg you’ve just scratched the surface of, and a lot more diverse than just the most popular or well-known stuff. Here’s some recommendations:
In My Time of Dying
How Many More Times
The Battle of Evermore
The Rain Song
Achilles Last Stand
Since I’ve Been Loving You
Babe I’m Gonna Leave You
When the Levee Breaks
No Quarter
All My Love
Bron-Yr-Aur
Kashmir
Ramble On
Going to California
Led zeppelin best band ever just took it apart and it was over no Beatles no rolling stones no pink Floyd no one can match led zeppelin they are the greatest
"I get some GOOD NEWS, LISTEN..."
The DRUMER.
Yes check them out!!!
Probably the most requested rock song in history.
If you want to hear a different side of Led Zeppelin listen to "Babe Come on Home" and Hey, Hey, What Can I Do?". Led Zeppelin are sometimes labeled as Heavy Metal but they were very versatile.
Goats...I think that Madison Square Garden, one of the most epic performances of the era. Treat yourself to the whole concert. You will never be the same. Once you go down the rabbit hole of Led Zeppelin, you are never the same. They are like a mind expanding drug. 😎✌️ 67 years old, a fan since I was 17, and I never get tired of listening to them.
Goosebumps
JIMMY IS THE MAN AND ALWAYS WILL BE.
