There were 3 types of tithe: (1) Poor tithe (2) Levitical tithe (3) Festival tithe. Which of the 3 types are you going to give?

@@nomatusi7514 there are four kinds of tithing in the bible which one are you referring to. when the pharisess told Jesus they tithed everything for which the Lord Jesus admonished them, was it food. you tithe your products or revenue. in modern time the legal tender is bank currency. in ancient time it was whatever was considered wealth ie direct products themselves I think you should get an education. your problem is illiteracy
@@austinjohn8713 You are confusing tithe and giving. Tithe was food and never money. Tithe was only applicable to the promise land (Canaan) not outside Canaan. When the Israelite were in Captivity they never tithes. The 40 years they spend in the desert they never tithed. Moses was given the law but never tithed because he did not get to the promised land.

@@austinjohn8713 Tithe is one of 613 law in Mosaic law. Tithe was food and not money. The 7th year people did not receive or pay tithe because the land was left idle. Anybody teaching about tithe should tell you which is the 7th year?

What does this mean?
Pastor Francis, with all protocols observed, and in the greatest of respect, permit me to point you to Leviticus 27 vs 30, when God commanded the tithe BY LAW (see Galatians 3:10) TO Israel (not to gentiles) it was the opportune time for God to refer Israel to the Abramic tithe to Melchizedek. God didn't do that. The Abramic tithe was given because Abram was at war with the kings of the region, and as the battle intensified Melchizedek (a representation of Jesus) brought bread and wine to Abram (blessing the lesser) for the victory. A precedence was set; that the efficacy of the broken body and bloodshed of Jesus transcended time and space to fiat victory for Abram (since Jesus wasn't born yet) fulfilling Melchizedek's prophecy of victory for Abram. The Abramic tenth was scripted as a tithe solely because it was a tenth; it was not commanded by God. A tenth becomes a tithe strictly by God's declaration and not man's. We live after Christ's cross in the dispensation of Grace and not before the cross in the dispensation of LAW. Jesus fulfilled ALL the laws on our behalf, because when the Law came SIN REVIVED (it pointed humanity to the need for a Saviour). Without a law sin is not imputed (see Romans 5:13). Pastor if you want your assembly to prosper, then you must obey and understand that if you continue the LAW of tithing you are usurping the authority of a Levite priest which God has not ordained so to do, and you will be inviting poverty into the assembly (see Galatians 3:10. The scriptures reveal that God who spared not His Son, but gave Him up for us all, will He not with Him freely give us ALL THINGS? SEE ROMANS 8:32. Emmanuel!!!!

My husband is confused on tithes. He paid for years and we are still in poverty. But he was giving under a religious obligation
U do have to know where to give ur tithes, because the tithes is holy,therefore give not that which is holy unto dogs neither cast ur pearl before swine lest they turn again and rend u, also u don't plant ur seeds in mud they will rot, the tithes is a seed do not mix ur holy seeds with bad seed, me too I am a tithers for many many years and I learned as I go along, I am 61years old am still tithing, this i know God will honor his word and he will bless u,he will restore the years of the palmer worm, the locust, the caterpillars and the cankerworm,the cankerworm is no a worm,it is words cantankerous spoken against u,that is his blessings will be greater than curses, the lord bless u,
If you think tithing of any form will get you wealthy, then you do not understand tithing.
The poor received the tithe. The poor tithe was given to the widows, orphans, poor and foreigners.

@@austinjohn8713 Only the tribe of Levi have the legal right to receive the tithe because they did not have inheritance. People twist Hebrew 7 to justify why they are collecting the tithe and they are not Levites. Jesus did not collect the tithe. Jesus did not come from the tribe of Levi but of Judah. Paul did not collect the tithe. Jesus disciples did not collect the tithe.

There's no such thing as a biblical tithe from earned monetary wages, not under Melchizedek and not under Mosaic Law. Abraham's (Abram at the time) "tithe" to Melchizedek was likely driven by pagan custom and only consisted of spoils of war. There's no biblical evidence it was required by God and there's no biblical evidence Abraham ever tithed again or that Melchizedek ever received another "tithe." We are free to give as we can and as lead, but we are not biblically bound to pay a tithe or any other amount of money to a religious institution or anywhere else.
Well said. Tithe was under the law. Out of 613 laws they choice tithe because it is the one that will fill their pockets.

@@austinjohn8713 There is nowhere in the Bible that says that tithe is a mystery of the kingdom. Those are our own words. Tithe was only required for the 11 tribes of Israel. Abram did it voluntary once in his lifetime. There is no verse in the Bible that show us Abram taking a tithe every week, month or year to Melchizedek.

Hebrews 7: 11-13: " If therefore perfection were by the Levitical Priesthood for under it the people RECEIVED THE LAW, what further need was there that another Priest should arise after the order of Melchizedek, and not called after the order of Aaron? For the PRIESTHOOD BEING CHANGED, there is made of necessity A CHANGE ALSO OF THE LAW. For He (JESUS) of Whom these things are spoken pertains to another tribe (JUDAH) of which no man gave attendance at the alter." Jesus is our ever present High Priest.
Hebrews 7:5" And verily those who are of the sons of Levi, WHO RECEIVED THE OFFICE OF THE PRIESTHOOD, have a COMMANDMENT to take tithes of the people ACCORDING TO LAW, that is of their brethren, though they came out of the loins of Abraham." We are gentiles and certainly not from the bloodline of Levi, nor Aaron; we are not to usurp the authority of a Levite Priest to take any tithes from anyone in this dispensation of Grace.
