Glad you put this video out. There's tons of women and beauty channels who talk about their skin stories but I haven't across too many men that have done this and it's great that you're giving another perspective

i also notice that when i go on holiday my skin becomes so clear and smooth.. maybe it's the sun or the combination of lots of water and fruit.. 🤔
I find the same and I also think the chlorine in the water helps a lot.
Salt water, if you're getting in the ocean. The salt kills bacteria.
It can also be the lack of stress. Stress is a huge factor in how your skin is.

According to my dermatologist it's the sun and the sea ( helped with my other skin condition as well, eczema)

There are so many models and beauty channels with people with perfect skin but it’s not true most pictures are photoshopped or people with loads of makeup. It’s great that you have made this video Joe :)

I personally really enjoy this kind of content from youtubers who are known to do something different. Back when I was 15/16, I loved your silly, funny content and would watch it every week. Now that I'm a couple of years older, I feel kind of like I'm growing out of it, and I loved seeing that you posted a video like this. It's ok if youtubers want to keep doing the same thing, but I know that a lot of them get bored of that eventually and want to do something different, and I hope they realise that that's ok because their audience is growing and changing with them.
As a professional skincare expert myself- I think this is amazing that you’re coming forward and talking about this. From my experience I’ve learnt that boys/men don’t come forward a lot and try to hid from getting help or learning about the amazing thing which is YOUR SKIN!

Hey Joe ! I did enjoy this video and it was an interesting topic, you should do more sit down and talking videos, they are comforting and fun for those that do long sessions of homework or revision or anyone in general! i recently found out that i suffer from hair loss... i haven’t found out where it comes from yet but i have an appointment with a dermatologist soon. i feel very low since i’ve known about it, because it’s so weird getting bald as a girl by the age of 24. i lost all self esteem over the past month but as weird as this sounds, this video is really uplifting for me!
i’m sorry you had to go through all this, nobody on this planet deserves having that kind of experiences when their own body just turns against them...

Basically, this is a stage that everyone goes through, including me. Some people are more serious. Also, during my adolescence, I was troubled by the same problem in two years. It's hard. If I had watched this video at that time, I would have been better:( I believe this video can help the people who have the same problem.

Heather Marie I’m also now on this medication and I unfortunately am suffering from depression and other mental health problems. But videos like this genuinely do help. Just to know that I’m not alone and others have also gone through it has made me feel much better.

I'm an 18 yr old, regular teenage guy, and I honestly think Thatcher Joe is one of my favourite youtubers. I used to be embaressed that I watched his videos as his audience is largely feminine, by I'm older now, and it's 2018, and there's not so much stigma around that. Such an honest, relatable, easy video, props to you Joe.

strangely for me I think is almost comforting to see that famous people or people in the public eye in general , experience the same things and worries that I do, just for the fact that these people who are seen as 'perfect' struggle with extremely common insecurities and problems that many other people do. just wanted to say that not many people would of had the courage to open up on such a sensitive top that this is, thank you for opening up and sharing your experience with us I know that it’s gonna help a hell of a lot of people going through it or who have been through it. I sympathise with everything you’ve said as I’ve been through it in my teenage years. Everything that I was using was not working even all the creams the doctors gave me never worked. That was when I decided to see a skin speacialist who put me on a course of tablets for six months and now I’ll never look back. I’ve never been more happier or confident in the way my skin looks. I have so much respect for you for uploading 😇 x

I went on Roaccutane when I was in my teenage years, I was so worried but I found I actually became happier whilst taking it. I was so depressed before taking it that once your skin starts healing it began to change my life for the better. So glad I did it! Your skin looks amazing and you are glowing

This honestly meant so much to me because many people struggle with so many insecurities and mine being both my skin and weight. And hearing comments about them really defleats confidence especially when it also comes from loved ones, so you speaking up about all this and your journey just lifts a huge brick out of my chest and I’m sure a lot of people that they feel less alone and more confident that they’ll get better confidence and appearance wise because after all, we should love ourselves whether it be from skin deep to outside appearance and I really think this brightened a lot of people’s view of appearance. Great to see this being talked about! I struggled with my skin for years and have finally seen results after countless medications, creams, skin care routines (you name it) but it really brings down your confidence and self esteem and you just feel ugly- so it’s nice to know other people have been through the same thing! I used to never leave my house without makeup on. So for anyone struggling with it now.... there’s hope!!!

A lot of comments say it is the 'real' Joe in this video. It's always the real Joe, the funny videos show just one side of him and in this video we can see his serious side.
But I like it too when Joe is talking serious about something that's important for him. It makes him more authentic because it shows a different side of him that he doesn't show as much as he could. He is always funny im videos but we all know that no person is funny all the time so it's nice to see.

This video is so relatable. I get spots all over! My back, my shoulders, my chest (yes that means my boobs too) my thighs and my face and it drives me insane! I feel so self conscious without it, it just intensifies it when they flare up. I actually go in an empty changing room on my own during P.E because I don't want people to see it. Its a nightmare

I'm currently 17 going onto 18, eating mostly vegan, drinking water, have a decent skincare routine, don't touch my face, but I still have spots all the time, every day. Although this video was 31 minutes long, I did watch it all the way to the end. I actually really shouldn't have cause I've got my exam tomorrow morning. But I'm really glad I did. I'm sure you being so open and honest about this will help lots! I for example, have been watching your videos for years but I really never knew you used to cover up your skin. I appreciate you chose to talk about something you used to be self conscious about to help others so much, and somehow this video made me like you even more. (Ok back to studying now)
