This skit was based on true events in the 90s. This super rich white business man was running drugs on a serious level and he had a black frontman in the USA. The black guy got life and the white guy got like a suspended sentence. And they didn’t come to arrest him, he was invited to turn up at the police station. But he was the actual drug runner. Crazy.
The whole war on drugs is a reprehensible attack on individual liberty and our right to alter our consciousness however we see fit.
@@olo_smooth_olo5606 I think people caught with individual amounts shouldn’t be jailed. Those selling should be the ones fined, jailed.
@@noni5961 how do you think millions of tons of drugs enter the U.S with all our technology? Even from Afghanistan? The government allows this to happen. And don't get me started on pharmacists and doctors, should they be jailed or is that ok in your mind?
@@olo_smooth_olo5606 then all drugs should be legalised. Because yes pharmaceuticals are the biggest drug dealers and because of the levels of money made, that’s not going to change. If all drugs are legalised then there’s better control over the drug trade.
It would make more sense with Chappelle's explanation before the skit starts. Love seeing the chappelle reactions!!
Definitely, without that it’s easy to miss that the whole point of this is the fact that the justice system works differently based on your status in society and how it would look if the switched the treatment between a low level drug criminal and a well to do financial criminal.
I always wonder why they don't have Chappelle's exposition in the beginning in these videos - it's a great lead up!
Did you all know that Bill Burr used to be a writer for Dave Chappelle's Show?
In case those across the pond aren't familiar with the US Constitution: the fifth amendment gives the accused the right to not to respond to any questions if their answers could possibly be self incriminating. In a lot of criminal trials, the lawyer advises the defendant (the accused) not to speak at all.
Most lawyers advise never speaking to the police at all, not under any circumstances. If the police want to speak with you...you need an attorney.
and I believe it also applies to when you're just a witness and not only to the defendant themselves. What I mean is, if you are called to testify in someone else's trial, you can refuse to answer some questions if the answer to the question could potentially provide evidence against you of wrong doing on some other matter.
Anyone can take the fifth when being asked questions by a government employee for any reason
This was an actual true story.
Ya'll should include Chappelle's exposition before these skits into the vids. When Dave asked, "I wonder what the twist is going to be" - I was like this whole thing IS the twist! They all understood as the video went on, but including Dave's expositions that he usually has before the skits would be better to avoid confusion
I wonder if the “trim” comment also went over their heads? Their faces were a little blank. Lol. Love you guys!
Cuz thats how they get posted on youtube. All the Chappelle show skits are missing parts/scenes. Comedy central wants you to pay for their app to see the whole thing
But yeah its not as funny without context.. In the original, Dave explains everything before the skit even starts
It's a commentary on the U.S. legal system. In this instance, the inverse of rich people getting off easy and black dudes getting railroaded plays out.
This skirt is about what it would be like if they treated drug dealers like white collar criminals and vice versa
What?? Lmao.. it has Nothing at all to do with Black n White lol. In fact in the original version, Dave explains the whole thing before the skit even starts. Its exactly what the main comment said
Its about the White collar criminal and Vice versa.. If u wanna see a skit about Black and White, then watch "Trading Spouses".. Or Clayton Bigsby lmao. But yall are clearly NEW to the Chappelle show, if yall didnt already know this for 15 plus years 😂😂
@@GeneralBuckNaked if that's the case. Then could you show me that version that has Dave explaining this skit.
Cause the judge refers to the white dude as "big lipped" or that his gonna go to jail and lift weights and convert to Islam. Which is a portrayal of any black man in life or in movies. Also when the camera turns to the jury, they are all black males. If it's true what you say about it been more drug related. Wouldn't they show white males in the jury also?
Not just black males???
Chappelle Show - Mad Real World, its insane
Although there is a racial component the primary focus of this skit was how the treat white collar criminals different than drug criminals.
I actually still think the racial component is the main message. If blacks were the CEOs of banks and embezzled money, and whites were narcotics traffickers, would our current society really let the bank CEOs go without punishment? Probably not. So yes, we treat white collar criminals with incredible leniency, but it's also likely because they "appear" less threatening to white America. You can't disentangle the two.
This was honestly a genius sketch. One of Dave's funniest. Thanks for reacting to this gem guys
Chappelle show was so brilliant 🤣👏🏼🙌🏼
Glad you guys caught it toward the end. Wasn't sure if you would. Not sure how the justice system works over there.
there ain't no twist, they just switched the roles on how whites and blacks would be treated by the law enforcement in the US.
You should react to the Piss on you” skit. He’s impersonating R Kelly and It’s by far the best by Chapelle.
This skit was my intro to Bill Burr. Before I’d seen any of his standup. Man, Chappelle’s
show was a special moment in American history.
This makes more sense if you live anywhere with the good ole’ American justice system. All hail their figurehead, Betty White.
Yea you're right, but still wouldn't want to live anywhere else but here.
@@marcoszavala8435 True, and yet there's still a lot of work to be done to make the US Justice system actually just.
@@marcoszavala8435 why tho? its countries outside of the usa that is better/ have lesser problems than us americans
@@unbiasedusaliverpoolsuppor4074 hanging on in quiet desperation is the Eng..American way.
@@unbiasedusaliverpoolsuppor4074 what countries im curious ? And can you climb from the very bottom to the top like you can in this country. I came to this country when I was young with my family, talking no English and went from having nothing to living pretty comfortable.
What thus is about is illustrating the difference between how the U.S. criminal justice system prosecutes corporate/white collar crimes in comparison to drug crimes.
It's also about the racial disparity between the two types of crimes, which result in the defendents being treated differently.
And it just flips the entire thing on its ear... that's the twist.
You guys need to look for "The Real World" Skit from Chappelle show, it is one of the best, besides Wayne Brady skit.. but can never find the full version on youtube.
Thats cuz none of the Chappelle show skits are full on youtube. Theyre all missing parts. ALL of them.. Comedy Central wants you to pay for their app to see the whole thing
The cop that called Tron was the guy from No Country for Old Men. He was the old man that ran the store who had to"Flip a coin".
Funny how yal realized it was reversed when the insults by the judge came in
For some reason Comedy Central cut out the explanation before the skit. Chappelle asked the audience how would it look if white collar criminals where treated like drug dealers and vice versa. It's a bit more, but that's basically the gist.
Yes ! Been waiting for this ! Bill burrs line is amazing lol
FIF!
Been waiting on this one!
In the introduction to this video Chappelle explains about reversing the way that blue collar crime is treated by the justice system and switching it with the white color system basically saying that a lot of white collar crime goes unpunished
I PLED DA FIF!!
Loved it!! keep it coming boys
I'm from L.A just got on with you guys. Great reacts. You should do the one in which Dave is a member of the clan. Hilarious! Stay up.
More Dave Chappelle to watch, "PopCopy", "R.Kelly Piss on You", "Knee High Street" (the full version, there are a lot of chopped clips on here), "Wayne Brady" (Dave apologizes to Wayne for a skit that was on his show), and "The World Championship of Craps".
They did like 4 of those skits already bud lol. Look thru their page.. And all the Chappelle skits on youtube are missing scenes. Cuz Comedy central wants you to pay for their app
I've re-watched this 1000 times 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This very episode of Chappelle's Show was 8 year old Steve's introduction to Bill Burr 🤣.
Dog: *Silence*
Officer Burr: "Shut that f°°°ing dog up!!" *Pop*
The skit is the twist.
5:18 "what's the twist?" Lol
The whole skit is the twist!
There are always news stories with cops shooting dogs for no reason. That's the joke, in case you didn't get that one.
YAAAYYY!! MIKE'S BACK!!!
Should react to Chapelle show “I know black people”
Brilliant sketch!!!
U guys missed the point, the first guy was a banker/Wallstreet guy. Who always get of. Roles were reversed. Best part nobody gets is in the beginning when he wanna do his wife, says not my money 😆🤣.
The twist is how they would let ceo off the hook with murder while small drug offense in the America could ave been put someone in jail for life. This is basically showing how it would be if they switch the position of the judicial system.
Yall need to check out the Chapelle show skit where he goes into the Internet, hilarious
Love Tron 🤣❤️💯
You should do "key and peele : yo mama has health problems" next and Chappelle has much more interesting stand ups. I hope you do them as well 🙏 keep it up guys
Chappelles show is the most real alert and wildest show… of course this was a satire about how whites and blacks are treated different in the legal system, just reversed
The funny thing is the dog aint barking lol
It shows how contradictory the Justice System in America is
You need to watch when keeping it real goes wrong that's one of the best skits on chappelle show
At the very least, if fans are recommending this video. Some backstory would be ideal, especially for the guys across the pond.
Tron is my favorite Chappell character. He is in mad real world....He is the riches man when they get reparations...and he is a drug dealer that gets the "white collar crime" treatment
These 3 guys didn't get it he did a trading places how the justice system treats blacks vs whites lol
You should check out Bohemian Rhapsody covered by Marc Martel, absolutely incredible
Funny.
Fif is Fa***t in french...
Wonder if Chappelle knew this hehe
They should react to some NFL weekly highlights the season just started too
of course
You guys should either do the mad real world, knee high park, or the gang wars on chappelles show.
i can tell this didn’t hit them in the spots it was supposed to because they don’t understand the imbalances of the american “justice” system.
Pretty sure they didnt include the first half of the sketch. So the context is wayy missing
Its how they handle business men completely differently than drug dealers and such. This is the reversal
Woo
police officer apologize : "when my supervisor said shoot that bitch I thought he meant the "dog" I apologize, but to be fair I couldn't see that dog hands …"
The dog whimpering after it's laying flat shot in the head is crazy. 2:22
Chappelle s show The Mad Real World
If you wanna laugh til it hurts, check out “Clayton Bigsby” from the Chapelle Show. You won’t be disappointed.
You guys should try some of Tsho.O's 30 seconds on the clock. It's mostly his rants which ya'll seem to like at the beginning of the redemptions.
"When l get out can l still traffic rocks to my communitaye"?.....
You guys need to watch the Key and Peele zombie skit😂
The twist is the whole skit. How white people are treated vs how brown people are treated when in the judicial system
This is why the black white experience is so different. Halfway through the sketch and these 3 white guys still didn't understand what the twist was. Ask any black man breathing 3 seconds into the sketch and they'll explain this is a satirical account of the different treatment they give to white vs black defendants.
Cops in the U.S. have earned a reputation for being overly trigger happy with dogs, sadly.
You guys missed Bill Burr as one of the witnesses.
Please react to "Piss on You" by Dave Chapelle.
It's sad that I got the joke right away. But I am American 😜
Finally
Great reaction, as usual. I haven't seen you guys so F Is For Family, Bill Burr's animated series on Netflix. Check it out unless I'm wrong
Dave Chappelle is the original ... also kay and peele is based off of this when dave chappelle left comedy central and at the time chappelle show was their best show as well as their most profitable show
ONE TWO FEE FO FIF!!!
That hoodie is awesome y’all selling?
Always remember the fif
Oh my goodness Mike is back from the from The Pride
Check out Triumph The Insult Comic Dog - Star Wars. It’s gut-busting funny.
Nooooo watch it for us!!! Mike!!! Film that reaction!!!!
You guys should check out gilly and keeves sketches next
The twist is that the blacks are white and white black
Try watching some Mitch Hedberg
what a genius. makes fun of the racism
The ginger cop's Bill Burr.
OVER HERE, BUMMED MEANS SAD....I GUESS IT MEANS SOMTHING ELSE OVER ACROSS THE POND
secret document: FiF!!!!
Damn you guys missed out on some HUGE CONTEXT
Cuz Comedy Central posted the video without Daves whole dialogue in the beginning. Messes the whole thing up lol
God is so stupid funny stupid funny I love it
It’s cool how the fif is real in America lol
In case you were wondering....in the U.S. the police are also notorious for killing people's dogs
HAHAHAHAHA
Can yall react to normani wild side video
I plead the… FiF!
I've never seen this lol. The red head guy looked so disturbed poor thing
Edit: a lot of Dave's stuff is social commentary
This doesn’t explain the bit, as other have said.
The thing with the dog is unfortunately what happens here in America if you're a minority and especially not ritch. I had a Puerto Rican roommate and the cops came one morning and threatto shoot our dogs while they were asleep on my bed.
I feel like these guys didn't get the message. They just think it's "political" and not really an issue. Chappelle is more than a comedian
I still say “I plead tha fif!” At least once a week lol
1,2,3,4 fif!!!!
FIIIIIVE
Same lmaoo
Go head ask me a question...Fif
ever get those people that look at you and are like, "What did you say??". I used to get that all the time at work.
