High Palladium is insane, one of the first things I noticed playing a mage.
High Palladium alone makes mages a must-have on every party, especially for major boss fights
Empiryan actually one shots most undead since it is holy damage, and the only kind you can get early game. Very situational still, but worth it if you like to roam during night time.
It is great for fighting liches on tight dungeons on endgame. Doesn't one shot all their minions, but it does stun them as well. I would say it is a must have if you play a mage and knows you will be facing undead. On pawns I find it less reliable as they use it against other targets, and sometimes keep casting other dmg spells against undead

Helpful video! Having trouble finding a guide for the best early game free lootable Mage staff. Spells are great but only as great as the Magic Strength of your Staff. Have a +2 Favored Canopy staff now looted from Elves area cave- 291 Magick power at level 17.

I keep my main pawn a mage with palladium/ice affinity/haste/levin, then hire 2 sorcerers with maelstrom/meteor/blizzard/seism.
Nothing quite like sandwiching a drake between 2 tornado blenders :)
I personally love warrior and magick archer(which I feel is one of the easiest op damage dealers), and am currently running as warfarer with greatsword and M. Bow. I use all greatsword skills, the magick bows rivet shots do more than enough ranged dps on their own, so don’t need extra dedicated weapon skills for it
So playing as a mage with high palladium , fire flametrower , empyrian and celerity/ice dmg .
There is absolutely nothing i can't tank/ heal or kill , i love that the mage feels unique from the sorcerer now . I started as a fighter for keeping more stuff on , rnager after to get stamina and now after 5 level mage i still deal tons of dmg . I think i will just play all the vocations to finish with the warfare .
I wish it was easier to change vocation, I managed to get my main pawn wizard to switch to sorcerer at level 10 for the max magick but my main character has had a more awkward time hunting down vocation quests, then not being in a place where I could switch.
This guide is exactly what i was doing until i capped mage xD let me walts into the dessert at lv14 and fetch magick archer, was level 30 by the time i walked back lmao
I was so attached to sorcerer in the first game but after reaching rank 9 mage and taking down my first lich to get chaol vine (archistaff for sorcerer), I might just stick with mage actually 😂😂

Mage is a lot better than from 1 due to how many buffs they get this time around.
You can have your Mage shield, while the Mystic Spearhand turns his entire party into old school WoW PvP Paladins...forever. Infinite damage shields that absorb not just one hit, but everything for five seconds. The Spearhand can just take the stamina stealing skill and basically drain tank cheese everything in the game.
But yeah, for an early spell on a starting class, Palladium is pretty good. Actually though, if you really want to, once you unlock the celerity spell, you could just stand there doing nothing but casting High Palladium, doing some similar cheese as the Spearhand, but you won't really have time to be doing any damage.
Meanwhile Thief channels your inner Bloodborne speed runner with the automatic dodge

@@revolversnake126 haste+damage reduction and infinite stamina on a group buff. It's insane, only downside is when the duration runs out the mage pawn gets knocked down and needs a few sec to get back up
Just use cheat engines at this point. Min/Maxing games like DD2 takes all the fun out of them.

cRPG Bro, I love your guides but this game as it currently stands is unplayable. I have a 4070 and I'm lucky to get 20fps for a lot of the game. Add the mt, I'll pass on purchasing it. Compared to BG3 this is a trash game and Capcom lied about it.
Idk personally I’m running an rx 5500xt and I’m at a good 50-60 the majority of the time, occasional dip to high 30s when first entering a city during the day, when the most npcs are out and about

Guide to get OP EARLY ? That's easy, open your wallet, pull out the credit card and use the micro transaction cheats.
Seems like someone doesn't read anything and just listen to rants. If you had just opened the steam page, you could have seen that the MTX are QoL. But you can get this QoL in like 2h of gameplay... The real problem is the fps optimization in towns. Those MTX are just the deluxe edition bonus listed one by one. Scammy maneuver, but you need to be retarded to buy it.
Capcom is getting worse by the day, but we aren't at Tales of or Sega (Like a dragon) MTX level yet.

i refuse to buy this crap.
Character edit is actually free in game. Also, microtransaction is not needed for any player because everything in the game is accessible so early. You can not pay to restart with a new character becuase the game only has one cloud save(which sucks). Performance is not the best but the game is great. Alot of fun to be had. I recommend waiting until the patches are out or buy it on sale(which would be alot of value for you :) ) Cheers
