Thanks for the video.
I'm currently riding a different type of external motorised wheel in Korea.
This video helped me a lot.
Next time, I would appreciate it if you could upload a road test (riding video) of the V14.
I made another video of my first ride on the V14 that you can find on my CZcams channel. I am also working another video now that will have more footage of me riding the V14. Cheers!
ahh so handsome....this 50s version is way to go....congrats to new wheel...
Thanks for the shoutout mate great review, man this wheel is next level ! keep a eye on my videos im currently testing a new feature that will make this wheel a step above all other eucs on the market !
Absolutely, looking forward to the new feature reveal!
Hi Kev. I've put about 300miles on my 50S V14 so far. Starting to enjoy it now. But coming from the V12, the additional 10kg of the V14 took a bit of getting used to. I imagine you'll be feeling the same moving up from the mcm5. I have the batch 2 knobby tyre on the V14, and the H626 street tyre on the V12. I don't find there is much difference between them. Not on the street at least, where I do most of my riding. Thanks for sharing your unboxing experience. And have fun on the new wheel.
Thanks for sharing your experience. Yes the much heavier weight of the V14 took a bit to get used to, but at about 50 miles in things are feeling much more comfortable, and the suspension has been great for the rough roads around my area. I still have yet to venture off-road but aim to do that later this summer. Cheers!
Congrats on the new wheel! I actually think you're lucky to get the street tire, the knobby tire (at least from the batch 1) is very loud and.. just not that a good fit for the city ride.
Have fun and ride safe!
Thanks @aslushnikov! I have been enjoying the street tire so far. I think most people like the batch 2 knobby tire so I’ll make another video about that in the future for some off road adventures!
@@Kev-In-Motion Looking forward to your review! I'm considering buying V14 as well, but got one for a test drive and got scared away by the offroad tire from batch 1.
Does ewheels do an inspection before sending it out to you? It looks like the plastic wrap and straps were still on the box which suggests you are the first person opening it from inmotion, or do they re-plastic seal it??
That’s a good question. I just sent an email to eWheels to ask them so I’ll let you know once I hear back from them.
So eWheels said they partner with a quality control business in China that inspects all of their units before they ship the wheels in the States. They have QC reports available for each unit they can send customers.
Excellent video thank you for making it 😁 Is that your own stand on the table or did it come in the box ?
Thanks for the comment! The stand is from Grizzla, which I bought previously. There’s definitely more stable stands out there, but it works decently for a good variety of EUCs and is adjustable to two different widths.
Awesome job with this video. Very well done. I just got my V14 in the mail and I'm trying to figure out what these two extra pieces are for. They were in a separate Ziploc bag and they look like a capital letter I. They're made out of squishy rubber. I'm thinking they're extra bumpers maybe for the sides? Did you get those in yours?
@@GingerOnWheels thanks! The extra bumpers I got are more of a hard rubber and in the shape of an “L”, so not quite sure what your extra pieces are.
@@Kev-In-Motion yeah I saw those in your video, I've got those too. Those look just like spares for the bumpers that are already on there. These other ones I got are more squishy and shaped like a capitol I, in the bag with those was also 4 small Velcro pieces about the size of a dime. I wonder where they go...
@@GingerOnWheels I looked again in my parts box. Those dime sized velcro pieces and I-shaped pieces are “Placeholders” for the pads. You’ll see notches in the pads that align with the shapes of those other smaller pieces. They are for remembering the exact location and orientation of your pads on the V14 if you ever take off the pads and use them for another wheel.
@@Kev-In-Motion got it! Thanks a ton.
@@Kev-In-Motion one last question, I just set my V14 all the way up. When you stand on it and bounce does the wheel make a knocking sound when the suspension is coming back up?
I'm so tempted to purchase the v14. How heavy is it? I would need to lug that thing up 2 stories if I did... currently riding a v12. Can you record walking it up stairs?
Also, where did you buy that euc stand?
@@jackskelington19 The V14 is between 86 and 88 lbs depending on your pad set up so it would be pretty heavy to carry up 2 flights of stairs. You might be better off with something like the Begode Falcon depending on your needs. The stand is from Grizzla.
Why did you decide to go with the V14 vs the Begode Extreme?
Mostly due to better water proofing, headlight, and ease of maintenance on the wheel for tire changes, etc. The Extreme is still a great wheel though!
@@Kev-In-Motion Yep thats what im thinking about. I dont know much but it seems inmotion has a better reputation also. Great video thanks for sharing.
I have V14. However, when suddenly accelerating and braking, a sound started to be heard. What could be the reason?
Hmm, I think you’d probably need to record a video of that happening to figure out where the sound was coming from. Maybe double check all the bolts are tightened down properly.
I have the same problem with the inmotion v14 50s, it makes a strange sound when accelerating and braking, it started about a week ago....when shaking and freespinning it doesn't seem like the bearing is broken, a strange sound like something is hitting or sctratsing somewhere, etc. anyone knows where is the problem?
@@Karl-ErikRosberg hmm not sure about that one. I have noticed anything like that on my V14. If your wheel is still under warranty, maybe send it to the dealer for maintenance.
@@Karl-ErikRosberg do you have solution??
Why is it all black? I thought most were orange.....
The 50s (battery) version comes with black panels versus the 50GB battery version which comes with the original orange panels.
@@Kev-In-Motion ok thanks, does that also mean the 50s comes standard with a street tyre....? Yours came with one....
@@tanyano9 You will usually get to pick which tire you want depending on where you get it. The vendor eWheels where I got my V14, only had the street tire in stock at the time I bought it, but they were nice enough to include the off-road knobby tire as well.
