  • It kept saying 1,200+ miles to empty. check for power and ground. all present. Pull the tank down and do my checks on it. I already had a pump pressure line and Injector in my parts room.
As I'm pli g it down it seems very light for 1200+ mes to E.
remove pump and heater and it's empty. Install new heater and seal. New pump(after priming) new pressure line new injector.
Light goes off and runs smooth. Performed a Regen after test drive.

We have the same issue with our fleet of refuse trucks, where the sensor goes out. Incorrect level readings.
The DEF module is now available separately, but the only way (for years) to get that sensor was to get the full tank assembly.

Yeah the heater and pump are separate for this one. You guys use Mac trucks? When I worked on cop cars we did the whole city fleet. Those guys had the same issue. They were Mac trucks.

@@BeardedFordTech We have a handful of Mack trucks, but they seem to be doing okay so far. We see them more often on our Autocar trucks. To be fair, the Mack trucks are relatively newer than the Autocars.

    Question...I have a 2013 F350 6.7....it seems to have quit using DEF....no codes. Any ideas for what is going on...has indicated below 1/2 tank for 2K miles....I tow a 39ft 5th wheel.

@PaulAdair-ue4uu def heater which has the level sensor would be my first guess

That was replaced in 2022 under a bulletin.... should I try filling the tank and see if a code sets or consumption resumes?

By "that" I'm saying the def heater was replaced.

No. We aren't. We spend more money on coal import. The last quarter or whatever is was they spent 2.5 billion on coal import from other states and what not. Wish I owned a diesel. Maybe one day.
