Rather than losing your whole left arm, what if you only lost your hand? That way you could make the parasite progress down the remainder of your arm. Hand to body interactions in VR tend to be awkward. I think thats why you inject your other hand to heal in Half Life Alyx.
They could split it down the middle (hehe) and just have half the arm remaining so that way the arm still is unusable but is still there to display the parasite
I don’t think this would work, since it would take away from the fact that the parasite is trying to reach your brain, and having the progress on the arm would confuse some players
@@tiaanvanrensburg1032 I think the explanation could be tweaked a bit to make it work. By the time the parasite reaches your chest it has access to all your vitals organs and your a goner. You could also write it so that it's trying to reach your heart rather than your brain.

This looks great! Adding in some recoil to the weapons could make them more powerful, although you might already have that planned cause I’m sure this probably isn’t the finished product. If I ever get a VR headset I’ll be sure to try it out when it releases!
You should put this out on the Quest. Really seeing that Gorilla Tag inspiration, especially now. ( Also Maybe Multiplayer!? ) Very few VR horror survival games that are multiplayer and actually good exist..just a thought.
One thing i fell like would make the experience much better would be to find a way to make it where your body drags behind you, so you have to physically turn around to grab ammo, guns, or the virus shots. Still, this is great work! I'm sure I'll check it out!
Awesome. Bought it immediately and played the first few levels. Super fun. Is there a way to turn on smooth turn. I find that a lot more comfortable than snap. Other than that its perfect so far.
Personally, I believe the body should be a lot lower, to make it look more like you're actually dragging yourself, or else it just feels like Gorilla Tag with one controller, but that does look very cool!
This looks incredible. The only difference I think would make this better is louder and thuddier gun shot sounds, better, and maybe more variety, uncanny creatures (maybe even a PS1 filtered style of monster would make this look better) and more detailed, less only gray corridors.
This guy is one of the most creative programmers on CZcams right now. It is just sad that he isn't as popular as he should be, in my opinion. Also, his game called Wrought Flesh suffered from quite a few perfornace issues.

you can inject whatever part you want in half life alyx, i personally do the neck because it feels kinda prickly and freaky

The graphics also look simple enough that they wouldn’t have to be immensely compromised for the quest too.
