The bone conduction headphones may not sound the best, but for people with hearing problems they are awesome. My mom lost her hearing in her left ear, but with the bone conduction headphones (better ones then those haha) the sound can bypass her outer ear (damaged section of her ear) to her inner ear helping her hear the music or videos in her left ear. It’s actually really cool how they work.
Wow it might have some use cases for that
Fun fact: bone conduction is how Beethoven was able to write music. He attached a metal rod to his piano and would hold it with his teeth so he was able to hear the music.
Good ones ain't really that bad but I'm not a sound nerd that spends hundreds on earbuds.
I second this. They really help. Especially if they are ones with sound passthrough it's like hearing aids that are cheap
I don't know which brand/model your mother have but the Shokz Openrun are awesome. My daughter was born with hearingloss and has to use a Baha hearing-said, so I wanted to test the technology and man, I'm impressed!
The locking box for phone is funny because you can still use it 💀
For the 'Power Conditioner' scam thing, you can find a lot of teardowns & explanations on Big Clive's CZcams channel. Basically it uses a voltage dropper (red capacitor & resistor on the PCB) to lower the voltage to light up the LED, while the big black module is a larger capacitor that... doesn't do a whole lot.
If you were running a big factory it could have some uses, but you'd also need much larger capacitor banks for that. So yes, it's in fact a total scam that just wastes a few Watts of power and takes up an outlet.
Also the Computer Clan (aka Krazy Ken) has made a video on this
If you have a ceiling fan it will have that same capacitor in it. Its used so the lights don't dim when the fan starts. If you were charged for power factor in a home (which you arent) this would save a few cents a month. In factories it is an issue but all the equipment will have power factor correction build into them. Also +1 to big clive and Krazy Ken. They are both a fun watch.
Also, the box screams SCAM due to how it looks, bright colors: check and overuse of exclamation points: check, oh and before I forget box design (print) is super basic, like it was just slapped together in MS Paint.
@@bobothn Yeah, if you have lots of inductive loads around and your energy provider cares about this it can make some sense. In this particular case it's a great way to recycle an enclosure for what appears to be one of those ozone generating devices with a cheap PCB and some low-grade parts, while selling it for like $30 or more.
It's basically like those 'car tuning' devices that go into the OBD port, but only use the 12 V rail to blink some LEDs. Good way to scam gullible fools out of their cash.
That box design looks clean & super good tbh, i like it @@PinkAgaricus
Austin claiming he rolls his window down and flicks anyone off is comical. We all know damn well he aint flicking anyone off😂
I bought those Road Rage leds and actually gave a finger to the officer behind so...here I am watching my car get towed.
And sue him for violating the 1st amendment
They can't tow you for that. Free speech is a thing.
Okay.
So Austin. The content is good enough to make me watch your channel regularly.
But your editors are some next level dudes. I mean special hats off to those guys. Really make every video pop.
Amazing content throughout!
When Austin said kacchow i almost spit my tea.
cool
Are you the editor by any chance?
the glazing is crazy
The fact that this video was edited in Capcut is just surprisingly amazing 😅
"Now our dumb studio is smart!".. my sides
The 3rd emote on LED hand product isn’t a horn symbol, it actually means I love you in sign language. It also states that on the box as well.
The LED Driving Sign reminds me an idea I had of rear high beams. Just to spite people behind me and blind them as well. Most likely illegal as hell but you come up with some ideas when you're mad and driving.
If someone cuts you off... they're generally in front of you right? Or am I missing something
“Hook em horns” it’s “I Love You” in sign language 😂
At first i didnt understand the "appeal" of bone conduction earphone. But after a friend of my explain it that it super useful for people having ear problem like him where he literally cant stand normal earphone/iem/earbud its really a lifesaver for him!
The nfc wrist band is actually pretty cool to me depending on what its capable of sending could send specific contact info for you or your business etc and possibly add a bookmark for your website, social, etc cause people loose physical cards. Not a perfect substitute but for people willing to interact with it it can be useful at shows etc.
Thank you Austin and overclock media crew for all the great content. We all love you!
fun story. I actually used a similar product to the UGreen Bluetooth receiver to turn a pair of headphones with swappable 3.5mm jack into bluetooth headphones.
That last one might actually be somewhat useless in older cars.
Yes, it sounds useful, BUT there are equipments that are cheaper and uses your existing radio and sound system. I had it in my old corolla, and it's useful.
The rest of the items are a gimmick, I see the band possibly replacing business cards though.
Those look like air conduction headphones not bone conduction. AKA, there is just a speaker pointing at you ear canal. Bone conduction has to touch bone.
Also if someone cuts you off, they won't see your back glass, so it is pointless unless you are the one cutting people off.
Mystery tech is life
In the 90s, my family had a card dealing machine and it definitely shuffled the cards. Battery operated.
The last device was meant to be placed on the main console that most older cars use. It's meant to modernize 90s-pre 2010s cars
I just found your videos a few days ago and i love the videos keep up all the good videos
I wear Aftershock bone conduction headphones for a minimum of 8 hrs but often up to 12-14 hrs a day. These are extremely comfortable so much so that I have actually fallen asleep with them on. Like many of the people here I have hearing issues in one ear and this makes it so I can actually hear in that ear. They are also great for those of us that work in a manufacturing environment that are required to wear safety plugs since you can still wear those with these on.
I've heard of bone conductive earphones being used by teams overseas because they are supposedly quieter than the IEMs and are great at translating voice.
No cuz I was literally on TikTok earlier at work, thinking to myself “why hasn’t Austin done a TikTok mystery tech video yet?” And I come home from work, and here it is
My current setup for adding blutooth to my car is
Bluetooth receiver to 3.5mm jack to cassette and to the radio :)
It works though...
They sell bluetooth cassette adapters.
Never ever thought of a Johnny Sins and Austin collaboration before this video.
The power saver things remind me of the obd fuel saver for cars. Again just a blinking light
bro how have i not found this channel before?? i’m gonna binge watch every video
Hooray for manufactured ewaste! 😂
I was further investigating about the Linq bracelet and I think it's a clever replacement for business cards or the picture I have of my iPad that has a QR code to my Carrd site when I go to conventions.
The Ugreen Bluetooth thing is good I'd you have normal wired headphones that you want to add Bluetooth for. I have that exact one and use it for my various headphones and earphones. It sounds good enough, but I don't think I've ever used the microphone. The output varies from om device to device though.
This is why I use the AfterShokz bone conducting headphones
When he said I can think of a lot of things I would like to hook up to a Bluetooth finger, was I the only one who immediately thought, "Your wife?" 😈 😂
“I’m scared” 😂
I use the Bluetooth thing a lot. I go through headphones a lot. So rather than buying cheap earbuds, I get wired earphones that are a lot better than buds and use that as a Bluetooth receiver
Austin’s arms are lookin pretty good in this video. You been workin haven’t you? Yeah buddy!
I've been watching Austin for years before the house fire... and I watch informative new tech... and now I just watch products he buys I cant afford.
It's hard to believe that the fire was almost a decade ago
To be fair on the watch your supposed to use monitor devices on your left arm/wrist and resting at same height as heart. It's probably still bottom tier even if the user knows how to use a monitor properly
Hahaha if they cut you off they won’t be able to see the gesture unless it’s mounted in the front 😂😂😂 love the product tho 😂😂😂
Had to make sure to comment on the fact that you used Yeezus to test the watch earbuds😂 but I wanna know what song it was???
Literally bored outta my mind and here comes Austin to the rescue
(4:10) If your turn signal is broken you can signal your turn using your arm out the driver's side window. Also the 10 and 2 position is not a legal requirement its a suggestion for how to hold the wheel but given that its supposed to be the "best" position for controlling your vehicle and if its not used during your exam its considered a fail of "failure of skill" and not disobeying the law. Requiring 10 and 2 as the only legal position would be a violation of the "Persons with disabilities act".
Regarding the ugreen Bluetooth quality, is it possible the quality on the other end wasn't that good just because of where the device was? If you could use a 3.5mm extension to move it somewhere else, would it sound better?
Can confirm. I have the same type of device from Menards for like third of the price, if you use a short aux cord and draip the mic anywhere closer to your face it works fine. I wouldn't record a label on it but it's perfectly fine for phone calls.
Hold up the song at 14:42 we might actually really need that full version 🤣
If they sell that watch to hide party powder to get into the club it would sell out lol
I mean....put the earbuds in ur ears and...ur powder inside the watch lol. Not sure how much it can hold😂
Was hoping that last product be the one that adds "wireless" andriod to your cars that already have it
I live in China and I’ve seen quite a lot of people wearing those bone conduction ear phones a lot young and old. Same shape not sure if it’s the same brand
Hey, one of my videos showed up in the recommended list in that scroll. Wild to see. :)
I have the Apple Watch Series 1. A year and a half ago I was in the emergency at the hospital and they had me on a heart monitor. I compared my Apple watch to the very accurate, medical science machine and. . . it was an exact match. Apple watch heart monitor is accurate, once it takes that moment to start reading.
Not a buck converter, its a transformer that takes 120 volt ac and converts it to 12 volt dc.
The only thing that thing does beside taking up a power outlet is light up some leds in it.
Huawei has a watch with earbuds too
That small keyboard is giving me old PDA keyboard vibes.
If someone cuts you up they’re in front of you - not behind you 😂
Should test out bone conduction microphones... the military uses them inside tanks, because it is so loud normal mics can't be used.
When did they start using these microphones (I've only known some units to use the throat mics, but not bone conduction). We for sure did not use them in the SEP V2 while I was in 2013-2016, we just had a Bose noise canceling headset w/ mic put inside of a helmet. You can actually still communicate without the microphones, but its about the same as trying to talk to someone at a nightclub, a lot of yelling (in this case over a high pitch whine, and only when certain systems are active, otherwise you can just talk normal).
At 1:36 you forgot to add that colored vertical lines screen with the continuous beeping sound.
this is the EXACT reason why i watch Austin Evans because of temu, wish and the bullsh*t that he buys from tiktok
So if California driving code states that you have to keep your hands on 10 and 2, how are you going to press the button unless you mount the remote on your steering wheel?
That button pushing cube looks like a knock-off/copy of the switch bot. If I wanted Smart cube that was designed to push a button I would get the switchbot because I trust them more.
That means I love you. Horns are without the thumb XD That was driving me nuts, but great video otherwise lmao
Need more of Mr. Ansini 🥂
Can someone please tell me what that first thing is for? Cuz I have no idea!
The car sign to flip people off should catch on hopefully
That car bluetooth gadget would be nice if the mic was better, sure, but even with a better mic would it be good enough to overcome road noise? The highways and byways are a lot noisier than sitting in a parking lot with the engine off. I do kinda like that "finger switch."
I use the car thing everyday the only problem is the track forward and backwards is reversed
you should do the portable monitor they sell i see ads like every 3 videos
Tiktoktek has to be a store name by now
Did you know that Festool now has an exoskelett for sale
I use a Bluetooth adapter to use my phone/iPad with computer speakers.
Did Austin really call “I love you” in sign language “Hook ‘em horns”?! 😂
The instructions said the third one was to show love. Was it just to show love to UT fans?! 😂
With how well known the horns are as a gesture I don't think anyone that doesn't know sign language is gonna assume the "show your love" bit is anything more than a weird marketing and/or translation thing
put the phone on the display in the locking box, boom you can't use it. You have also other methods to check the time, like your watch or ask Siri, google, whatever phone assistant
The thing I like about the smart watch is that it looks like a watch and not a cheap brick
Bien subscribed for years but first time I comment watching lla the way from Mexico love you Temu wish and tech video I’m number 18 like
I have that watch with the headphones in them
Evan, your car has a mike :))
30$ for the finger pusher you could get a Eaton or Avatar Controls wireless smart switch that can be hardwired in lmao
The watch is cool!
I love the videos keep up the great work y’all mean the world to me
Ouch....u need to get out more...or go to the family barbecues more often.
I got bone duction earphones. They are good.
The biggest problem with the bluetooth adapter is, if your car doesn't have bluetooth then probably doesn't have a stock aux input either
aux came first and it was in most cars then bluetooth came alone and replaced it.
the card dealer is actually sick lmfao
i just googled it bone conduction headphones can cause hearing damage
I could use the button pusher thing to turn on my pc because im lazy, why i play my ps4 instead.
15:27 "oh my gosh....a random white dude!" best description of Austin I've heard :p
So you're telling me its a device that directly stimulates the small bones of your ear, and that no one but me will be able to hear it?
No way Austin has a 4Runner too 🤣 the lowest tech or any modern car
What is the function/purpose of the phone lock box? You did not explain what you were doing with it, it does not appear locked, only hindered, and I don't comprehend.
Hope you’re doing well Austin
headsup, you flick off people in los angeles you could.. well "bad" things because seems like every driver is always pissed.
People who drive with handcontrols like me could use the finger light
those aren't real bone conduction earbuds if you pause the video at 3:25 you can see there is a tiny speaker in them. If you want real bone conduction i suggest shokz just get the sport ones
if the point of the phone lock is to limit use. what is the point of a clear screen with holes and a charging hole?
Austin’s wife is interested in the BT finger pusher.
The youpaj switch dock? *gets a switch ad*
Ear bones go brrrrrrrr
austin listening to kanye 🔥💪💪💪
Those bone conduction buds… afaik that is the completely wrong place for bone conduction. Almost all bone conduction headphones ive seen contact closer to the temple
Ca driving code does not say to keep your hands at 10 and 2, because it is literally impossible to keep your hands at 10 and 2 at all times AND shift.
There is in fact no law in Ca about how you hold the steering wheel, but there was a comment from the CHP once about not keeping your hands at 12, aka the top of the wheel, and that is because in case of airbag deployment it will drive your own arm through your face.
We have the power saver but I don't know if it helps
Anyone else remember the lollipops that played music you could hear through your teeth?
the linq thing. its better to print QR codes. my friends a dj. and he just printed out QR codes to put on his gear. so when people want his info they can scan the code and it links to his page.
kinda smart. and it costed him barely 10 bucks.
